It's great to see this officially confirmed.

Apparently it will be done as a live stream from the 007 Stage at Pinewood.
The title will be revealed, the cast announced and then a photo call.

Can this be added to the main page? I kind of miss getting official information from Commanderbond.net - It used to be the "go-to" website. I even offer my services if you need any writers for the site.

Hopefully someone ask Sam about the Gunbarrel? Or Questions are not allowed

This is superb! Brilliant BRILLIANT!
With this and 'The Force Awakens' teaser last week, my geek radar is going to explode with my two greatest film loves breaking big developments!
I just hope if any Q&A takes place, it's better than 'Skyfall' as I remember questions being asked and literally nothing could be answered. It was like...whatttttt.

If questions are allowed, doesn't necessarily mean we'll get the answers we want. You could get an answer like "I so want to tell you, I'm actually itching to tell you and I'm having a difficult time holding it in, but if I told you, Babs here would kill me in the most painful way possible, isn't that right, Barbara?" "That's right"

I think this is precisely it. Why have a Q&A with the press with all Qs and no As permitted?

It'll most likely be similar.
These films are now shrouded in so much secrecy that it renders any Q&A with the media completely pointless. Not that such secrecy really matters, since the supposed "twists" (i.e. Moneypenny) are so obvious that most people are able to figure them out months before filming is even complete.

Though most "twists" weren't figured out, they were leaked by the press and denied by those involved - once the seed of the idea was planted, it was very difficult to let go. What indicators were there, before the film was released, that Eve was Moneypenny? It was only because a member of the press had mentioned it early on in the production. It's not like a one named character was new, QoS had Agent Fields, and her first name, Strawberry, was only found out with the credits at the end.
I must admit, information regarding the finer points of Bond 24 are being kept very close to their chests, with only the Waltz rumour doing the rounds - and that's still only a rumour, until the film arrives, or more is released in 2 days, they may be able to hide the biggest reveals until the the film is released!
It's not like Casino Royale, where the whole script was leaked online before the film.
You can also watch the live announcement on Youtube...

Thanks for the Youtube link!
The Moneypenny twist was guessed well before the film went into production - mainly because Daniel Craig said they were going to put Moneypenny and Q's origins into Bond 23, as it was known at the time... So when the cast announcement had Q and 'MI6 agent Eve', everyone knew!

Maybe... I remember the Moneypenny discussions surrounding Eve only starting after the news report, but it was 3 or so years ago so it's likely I'm mistaken.

Hopefully they have the title done up in the official font. I'm sure they will. Thursday can't come soon enough.

The main thing was when Baz Bamigboye said explicitly that Naomie Harris was cast as Moneypenny. This was about 2 or 3 months before the start of shoot, if I remember correctly.

The font they've been using so far seems to be Neutraface, which is the closest to the Skyfall font. I doubt they would use the same font for the official Bond 24 title though...
But saying that, the QoS logo seems to be Neutraface too but with an alternate font for the Q, so who know?

Yep, as early as July 2011, according to this article: http://www.dailymail...nce-thrill.html

Very brief. But as others have mentioned, why go through a Q&A when you can't answer any questions?
Yes, exactly. We aren't really missing out on anything when all the cast and crew can say is no comment, wait until the movie.

Yeah, Baz nailed it.
I remember a lot of fans, myself included, had already pretty much taken it for granted after this comment by Craig way back in 2008:

Even if they had not revealed it before, it would have been very clear with Eve sticking around at the office and the obvious "M"-changing from Dench to Fiennes.
I think they should not have made a surprise out of it. If they had come out and said: this is the new Moneypenny, it would have been much more interesting for the majority to see right from the start what Moneypenny would behave like re-booted.
So I also hope that if Waltz indeed is Blofeld they will just say so right now.

Think we'll get a title leak beforehand?
