Anyone a fan of Sherlock? Here's a "pinch of salt" story involving a new Bond 24 cast member... - http://www.mirror.co...herlock-4733030

That would be great. I've felt for a while that Andrew Scott is one step away from stardom. Big pinch of salt though.

Whilst I am a big fan of Sherlock, I don't think he would fit with Craig's Bond - that's just me. I do see him going far though.

I would be very surprised if Scott were involved. Maybe the villain of the PTS? I don't know, I'm more confident in the Bellucci rumor.

Also, I'm not saying the "Sherlock Actor" rumour won't happen, but The Mirror is the paper that states "James Bond 'swapping Aston Martin for Fiat 500 in new 007 film'" using bits and pieces of information - All we know is that the Fiat 500 will be used in some parts of the film, not that it will be the main "Bond Car" - it's just the same as Pre-Casino Royale reports that states James Bond would be swapping his Aston Martin for a Ford Mondeo - and it turned out that that was just a rental car and he ended up with a DB5 and a DBS... I love tabloid journalism.

I'm most interested by the timing really. Whilst I'd be very surprised if the Mirror genuinely had the scoop on this, it's slightly odd to make something up at such a late stage, involving a relatively low-profile actor.

For what it's worth, I could see him playing a playboy type character at a casino who doesn't take well to Bond beating him. Maybe a small part.

I did think this - why announce it on the same day that an official Bond 24 announcement was confirmed for 2 days time, puts their credibility into doubt if the rumour doesn't play out...

I know that her name has been mentioned for nearly every Bond film in recent memory, but Deadline.com have thrown Monica Bellucci's name into the cast mix again in their report for the Bond 24 reveal...

https://deadline.com...ood-1201305919/

I'm totally up for that, and for any role. Blofeld's wife, a contact, the main Bond girl, anything. I don't see her age being a factor at all, she's beautiful.

Monica Bellucci as Blofeld's wife. Now there's an idea....or Irma Bunt.

I can't believe this is happening.  Time flies.  I remember dreading the fact they were waiting for Mendes to be available and thinking 2015 is far off.  Here we are and the announcement is hapening, this is great.

Hopefully we'll get a clue to the Blofeld rumour.

As far as cars go, I believe there was a report somewhere that Bond was going to drive a new Aston Martin in the film. Not a DBS or DB5, but something new.

Yea, I'm still holding out hope for Emily Blunt. We'll know in about 36 hours.

Good god, I want that to be a reality.

Yes, apparently Michael G. Wilson confirmed it to fans at the Bond in Motion event in London earlier this year.

I'm curious to see which one they go with. I doubt it'll be a completely new Aston Martin, as I'm sure it would've been covered by automotive outlets as well as film insiders. Probably the new Aston Martin V12 Zagato or possibly the new revamped Vanquish. I'm curious about this one actually.

So now would be the time to get in with our baseless predictions? In that case I will go with Everything or Nothing. To those who say that seems an unlikely choice, I say: Quantum of Solace.

I'd laugh if they announce the title as... 007 IN NEW YORK!

All kidding aside, if they didn't make Die Another Day already, I think Andrew Scott could have been an amazing Gustav Graves.

I'm calling bollocks on it - the article is riddled with factual and geographical errors. The sort that typing "Andrew Scott" or "Bond 24" into google before the "journalist" wrote it would've fixed.

It's been a while since we haven't known the title before the press conference, isn't it? Exciting times. I want to be blown away. Really hope it's kept under wraps until tomorrow!

That would be quite apt given the number of times we´re written it through the years.

We didn't know QUANTUM OF SOLACE when filming started, but suppose the press conference was delayed by a few weeks.

I could be wrong but I recall they didn't have a title for QoS until just before that press conference, so there was at that time nothing to leak. I could be getting that wrong though.

Despite a couple threads here... I don't know if it's just me... but it feels like there's a lot less hype surround the Bond world and the announcement this time. It's a lot less active on these boards than for previous films as well. I wonder why that is. Maybe it's just me...

Probably because less has been leaked, so there's been less to talk about - I'm sure that after the Announcement/Press conference/Photo call tomorrow and when filming starts proper, the fans will start trickling back. Heck, I haven't been that active here until recently, when the news started again.
