Hi CBn members!

This is Matt Bowyer CBn member from way back in the day when I was thinner and documentary filmmaker. Am writing to show you guys a just-released teaser trailer of "The Other Fellow" which is about real men around the world named James Bond and how it's changed their lives. It's my first independent feature and I've really gone down the gunbarrel to create the challenging combo of an Errol Morris/Chris Guest/007 mashup. It's gone up on mi6-hq and jamesbondlifestyle today and hoping someone here knows who to speak to to get it on CBn as well....its been a while....

You can check out the trailer here: http://www.facebook.com/theotherfellow and there's some more info below:

The project started in Sydney with us facebook/email/linkedin contacting thousands of James Bond's and whittling it down to a top 10 who we then traveled around the world with a small independent crew to film during the leadup to Skyfall's release.

The Bond's had many Seinfeld-ian nightmares to share from airport security to nosey waiters to being impossible to Google. We have three gay Bond's who found coming out even more difficult because of the expectations caused by the name. And most importantly men who had adventures more befitting of their famous alter ego - from being arrested by homeland security to being shot by the police for having the name - "the Guyana police still joke about it, they did what the KGB, the Russians, the Germans and everyone else was trying to do for years - shoot James Bond".

We've tried to avoid any of the usual shaken/stirred/00Heaven tropes in favour of a title that references Lazenby's OHMSS line about Connery, reflecting our Bond's life in the shadow of the more famous James Bond.

I truly believe this could just be the Never Say Never Again/1967 Casino Royale/bizarro-land-Bond of the Youtube generation and since releasing the trailer yesterday we've been covered by a lot of the Bond sites but not my old site commanderbond.net and that sucks so can someone help out with where/who to send a press kit to?? Definitely have some unseen clips/images to offer...

Sincerely,

Matthew Bowyer,
Director "The Other Fellow"

Congrats, Matt!!

The trailer looks awesome. I think is the most original thing in 50 years!! Remember the "real" James Bond (the "bird man") and his stories in the airports...

I´m really expecting to see it!!
