But, y'know: it's up against some films which have more attention-grabbing CGI. The effects in Skyfall don't draw attention to themselves (a lake and mountains where there aren't any in reality) and some of them are downright dodgy (Silva's face isn't great; the animals look fake; even the MI6 explosion looks wrong to my eye).

It's certainly worthy. Other than maybe one or two shots of the Komodo dragons, the effects were very natural and nearly seamless.
