Hi all,

Thought it best to contain all these sentiments from various posters in one thread, since there will no doubt be a great many of us practicing a bit of CBN withdrawl over the next two weeks until the North American release.

I just wanted to thank everyone - well, nearly everyone ;) - on the boards for making this one of the best buildups to a Bond film ever. Every image, trailer, and news release was treated with the sort of hyperbole reserved for some film premieres - and I loved it. We have some tremendously resource members here who've gone the extra mile to unearth and provide some very cool things.

Skyfall has long since given the impression it would be a tremendous Bond film, and with the reviews pouring in the way they are, I'm sure many of us are starting to feel there's a fantastic payoff at the end of this long and torturous wait. I'll be taking my leave until late night November 7th to avoid any more details pouring in than have already done so - though I can't claim I won't possibly pop back in to the non-spoiler section for a second or two. I'm weak like that.

I hope everyone in the UK enjoys the film immensely this weekend - there aren't words to describe how much some of us on the other side of the pond envy you. I still think the delayed release is a colossally stupid decision - no doubt, I'll be able to watch the film on Youtube come Monday - but we'll just have to hang in there!

CBN is truly one of the greatest fan communities on the internet. Has been that way since I joined, more years ago now than I'd care to acknowledge. It's as alive as it's ever been, and I hope it continues for another 50 years alongside the best - the best - franchise in film history.

This is the closest thing we'll get - in my lifetime, probably - to a golden age of Bond. Soak it in. Enjoy Skyfall.

-Matt

Well Said MattofSteel! I best be leaving soon anyways.

I will see all us in the US and other territories in two weeks, and may these two weeks go by extremely fast.

Entirely agreed. It's been a great build-up to SKYFALL around these parts, with some great discussions and contributions, carried out in good humour for the most part. Hopefully a film that we will come to hold as one of the greatest ever Bond movies will be our reward. See you on the other side, Matt.

yep, gonna leave the boards for a bit. I might pop in (can't help it) just to read about the gunbarrel... but that's it. I fear spoilers...

It's not out in Australia until Nov 22.

I'll still be about. May even read the odd review. I'm enjoying the buzz surrounding this film.

I'll probably be signing off for a bit fairly soon as well.

Once again, guys, it has been a genuine pleasure and one hell of a ride. I know I've said it a million times, but I really love being a part of this community. The time sure does fly, though. Anyway, I look forward to pouring over every detail of the film with you all in a few week's time. Finally, I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you to you all, because together, our obsession becomes just a little less weird. CBn is a family, and I'm so glad that I get to be a part of it. Enjoy the film!

I´m seeing it tomorrow or the day after, so I´ll be sorry to loose you guys for a couple of weeks. Been the most thrilling Bond voyage so far, well, since Cbn was created. SF seems to be quite the winner and game changer. Cheers to all. See you soon.

Yep, I will be going on a 2 week hiatus also. November 9th cannot come soon enough. It has been a hell of a lot of fun discussing Skyfall and everything Bond with everyone and I look forward to doing it all over again for Bond 24.

Like many of you in the US and other regions that won't get Bond until at least November, I will be signing off. Most likely will sign back in the day I see it or before (to say when I'll see it).

As it has become extremely hard to avoid juicy articles on main page already, I believe it is best for me to bow out for a bit as well.

With the price of a theater trip these days (and four years of anticipation), it just wouldn't do to read up on the finer details of film.

Cheers to all, as I look forward to punching back in soon to banter Bond some more!

The release of Die Another Day in November 2002 marked the beginning of a period of change for the better in my life. Now, 10 years on, I am embarking on a new career, and looking forward to the release of the latest installment of my favorite entertainment.

I too may drop in to contribute to the non-spoiler threads, but if the main page looks to tempting I may just stay away. Either way, I'll see you all back here after the 9th!

Going dark also. I rarely give (full) reviews but I plan to type a well worded analysis when I return. British brethren, enjoy! I look forward to reading your thoughts when I return.

It is such a shame there is a big wait between the UK and US/other countries and we will miss you around here, you're part of our CBn community and sharing the film feedback and gossip won't be right without you all who wish to stay clear, it's just rubbish we will have a long wait until we can all truly revel in what 'Skyfall' will bring to the fans and the franchise.

Don't stay away too long - as said, you will ALL be missed!!

Until then...

I don't write so much on here. English is not my first language, so sometimes I have some problems to express what I mean. But I have read this forum all the days from June I think. I have found a lot of people who shares my same passion, who knows everuthing about Bond, and because of you I know a lot of things about Skyfall and also Bond in general that I never knew without you. I'm going to read a little less til Skyfall comes out in Italy on Wednesday. But I want to thank you all again for making me enjoy the wait!

Thinking that I also will be checking out from CBn for the next couple of weeks too...though not until I read one or two of our U.K. members' reviews, who have just seen or are currently seeing Skyfall at this very moment. We'll see if I can actually manage to stay away that long..LOL!! But I do feel that I've gotten enough info about what to expect and am trying to avoid overload and am trying not to let all the debates about the gunbarrel etc..detract from my enjoyment of seeing the film for myself.. Cheers everyone and I'll catch you on the flipside (Nov.9th-ish)

Eh, I might just stay out of the SKYFALL folder until I see the film. I'll still be around. But for those of you leaving, God bless and we'll see you when the film is out!

I will be just trying to stay out of the SF spoilers section, don`t think I have the will power to sign off for 2 weeks completely.

Its been a real treat being part of this online community and following the production of SF and 50th Anniversary events while they unfold.

Well, I too have failed to stay away..LOL!! :) My so-called 2-week vacation from CBN could only last two days..There is just TOO much exciting news and reviews going on here..i.e. John Logan being signed to script Bond 24 and 25, so I figured why fight it?? LOL Plus I have to make a confession...("Forgive me Father, for I have sinned...well that's putting it mildly, The Dove"...I was able to get a glimpse of the Skyfall title sequence which has been up on a "certain, popular website"...unbelievable...can NOT contain my excitement at how it's gonna look when I go and see the movie.. So, yes I'm back now and will embrace all the Skyfall news and reviews in all it's glory..
