So here it is guys. Tomorrow is the big day. James Bond will officially return to cinema screens after a 4 year long wait. For all of you Bond fans that aren't in the UK, try to enjoy the extra few weeks of anticipation! It know it sounds tedious, but after so long waiting, once you see the film, that's it. Of course there's the DVD release and such, but after you've seen 'Skyfall', a year of relaxation will be waiting, before Bond 24 kicks off production.

So, this is it. Thank you to everyone on CBn who has made the Skyfall Production so exciting and fresh. Same time in 2014? ;)

Cheers! Have a Vesper on me, and enjoy the new James Bond film!

My only fear is that after 4 years the film doesn't live up to the hype (Much like The Dark Knight Rises )

The UK Bond fans are very lucky. Enjoy the movie.

It's going to be a very long five or so weeks for me waiting this thing out.

Can't bloody WAIT!

So strange to think this event picture is almost upon us in the UK and so near for the US and rest of the world, but I am SURE it will pay off.

Critics and celebs can't be wrong, and I can't wait to see the return of James Bond and what M, Eve, Severine, Q, Patrice, Mallory, Kincade and that dastardly bloke Silva have in store for us!

It's added to the enjoyment sharing the build up here I think with everyone, it wouldn't have been half as exciting, interesting and fun without everyone and our posts, stories and reviews, so I myself thank everyone too for the buzz leading up since last November when "Londons worst kept secret" was revealed to us all, and then a few months later in May it REALLY took off when we witnessed the following...

NOW look where we are...!

For me at 1pm tomorrow, all will be revelaled at skyfall. Enjoy the ride everyone, it's going to be an emotional one I reckon!

:D

Bloody hell, I do hope I like it.
I posted a few thoughts on QoS earlier and that got me thinking about how much I wanted to like that film, but couldn’t. Very disappointing when you’ve followed the making so closely and it all looks so promising.

It’s a black tie affair and looking at my black tie this morning… well, let’s just say it’s gone a bit limp since I last had reason to use it.
I’m off into town to get a new one.

VERY jealous Shrublands - but enjoy it!

And maybe you can settle that raging debate...is there a gunbarrel sequence! :)

I trust it's self-tied...

Has the debate restarted?! I thought we knew the answer now, but I might have missed something. :)

It's probably ended Vauxhall, I just keep seeing that thread back up about if it's at the end, or if it's been moved to the beginning, what format it is, does it morph into a title like 'QOS' etc... :)

Quick question...

What is the reason that the UK gets Bond two weeks earlier?

Is it a simple gesture to the UK since Bond is their guy? Financial reasons? Promotional reasons?

I'm not trying to come across snide. I hate that i have to wait but don't hate the decision for a slower roll out.

It's very easy, why the film gets a mid-November release in the US.

The US box office has to big seasons: the summer season from May to August, and the fall/winter season starting in mid-November.
The opening weekends in the other parts of the years are way lower than they are in those time periods.

So Skyfall will be the first blockbuster opening of the season.

Releasing it at the end of October would be bad, because less people go to the cinema in the US at the end of October in general than 2 weeks later. That's not joke.
So even if millions of people watch the movie online in those 2 weeks, the opening on Nov. 9 will still be bigger than it would be on Oct. 26.
It's tactics.

In Europe it's a different story. For exemple big movies will never be released in Europe while a soccer turnament is on. So there is no real summer season for the movies in Europe.

And Halloween in the US is much bigger than in Europe. And Horror movies will be the No. 1 movies at the end of October. That would hurt Bond, too.

Financial reasons it is. Thanks for the heads up.
I understood that November was better for the US but don't know anything about the UK schedule. Thanksgiving weekend will give Bond a big resurgence at the US box office the 3rd week of November.
