Just thought we should have a thread regarding the new pieces of information picked up in reviews.

A few I've came across..
  • We see Bond cutting the bullet out of his shoulder.
  • Silva's sexuality, caressing Bonds thighs.
  • M dropping the F-Bomb.
  • Kincade calling Bond a 'jumped up little [censored]'.
  • Bond wincing in pain, hanging off an elevator shaft.
  • Silva being an ex MI6 agent, with some kind of impairment.
  • Also remember reading somewhere that during the end fight, Silva grabs Bond and kisses him, as if the fist fight is turning him on. Can't remember where though!
  • A line from M. "You know the rules of the game. You’ve been playing it long enough!"
  • Bond to Q - "You still have spots!"
  • Q to Bond - "What did you expect? An exploding Pen? We don't do that anymore."
  • M and Kincade laying booby traps for Silva at the lodge.

Oh, also, I seem to remember a quote (I can't remember which review) saying something to Bond during caressing him...

"What makes you think this is my first time?"

I didn't think we would have M's f-bomb and Kincade little s-bomb...I thought there was only one use of strong language, unless Kincades is pretty mild...?

Found it:

"What’s your regulation training for this?' Silva teases him. 'What makes you think it’s my first time?”

I wouldn't class the 's' word as strong language anymore, really. So I'd still say the 'f-bomb' is the only use of strong language.

I think Bond means that Q is still pretty much a teenage in his eyes - so young he has bad spots/zits/acne and isn't old enough to give HIM the equipment that may save his life...so Q needs to prove himself to this older 00-agent, so to speak.

It seems to mirror some fans initial reactions, don't you think? He isn't that young though, he's only 6 years younger than Bond was when he became a 00

Yeah, I was surprised they went so British on that line. I would have expected a safe transatlantic term like "pimples". But perhaps this scene will introduce the term to American speech, so in the end it won't matter.

Might have to start another petition to get subtitles for across the Bond if these Britishisms continue!

Having said that, Pierce Brosnan's reference to a "station break" in TOMORROW NEVER DIES was entirely misplaced.

It all sounds quite an interesting and fun scene actually with Bond, M and Kincade preparing the house and surrounding parts of the estate. The booby traps are made from things like:

I now know what spots are so it can't be a bad thing!

So we're getting M in action? I hope we do. They should go all out with her. I hope she's done some gun training.

Aye, she sets off a trap or two. Not sure if she actually fires a weapon (as it appears they might only have one rifle between them) but fingers crossed.

I love the idea that they have to get away from any modern buildings or cars with a chip in them. Going back in time, before everything was connected to a computer.
Then they protect themselves with makeshift stuff. It all takes away the advantage that Silva’s had from the start. Act 3 sound like the perfect thematic climax to this story.

I wouldn't be surprised if the North American print had that line adjusted so he says either zits or pimples, so as not to confuse us new worlders.

Some nice stuff here from DigitalSpy... spoilers, obviously...

1. Fans will be intrigued to know that the iconic gunbarrel sequence is in the movie but, like Daniel Craig's last two outings, it isn't placed right at the start.

2. The credit sequence accompanying
Adele's 'Skyfall' dispenses with naked girls in silhouette for the most part, instead showing Bond getting dragged to the bottom of a river and depicting gravestones, bullet-riddled targets and a crumbling manor house.

3. Javier Bardem's Silva first meets Bond when the agent is captured and bound to a chair. It's a scene that carries an immense sexual charge as Silva runs his hands across 007's chest and legs. "What makes you think this isn't my first time?" Bond fires back.

4. Silva has a severe physical impairment that's not immediately visible. He attained it when he worked in Hong Kong for M back in the '90s.

5. 007 on receiving a gun and a radio from Q (Ben Whishaw): "It's not exactly Christmas, is it?" His response: "Were you expecting an exploding pen? We don't really go for that anymore."

6. There is one scene we felt was a clear nod to the Roger Moore era, and it involves Bond, one of Silva's henchmen and a Komodo dragon.

7. The first ever F**** of the Bond series is uttered by Judi Dench.

8. Remember the Aston Martin's ejector seat first seen in Goldfinger? It gets a huge laugh inSkyfall.

9. Albert Finney plays a key role in the final act, and gets a couple of the film's best lines. "Welcome to Scotland" and "Try and stop me, you jumped up little S***."

10. The movie's final scene reminded us a little of the endings for Christopher Nolan's Batmanmovies. You'll want to see Bond 24 immediately after it finishes.
