When are we going to see a final traditional Bond movie poster for SKYFALL? Oct 5 perhaps?

They do need a great image to jazz up the occassion and for the media something new & exciting to post on all the movie news websites.
I can't see them just showing the previously seen posters on such an important day.
Yes, my instinct tells me there will be a final poster tomorrow.

At this point I'm not sure what they could do to please so many disappointed people.

That would have some sense of finality about the teaser campaign. Even though, I can deal with the posters being the weakest aspect about the film itself.

I do miss the colorful montage posters of the 60s and 70s.

I know you weren't my friend. I completely agree with you. I'd love a final trailer and poster, but since we're what? 17 days away from UK release? There's not much to gain, really. The publicity campaign is nearly over. Although, I assume the US might get some final goodies.
I suppose I never consider that. For me the film is still about five weeks away. But you guys only have to wait three. Even though I won't be able to see it when you guys do, reading your reviews is something I'm really looking forward to.

If it's going to be one of the posters we've already seen then I hope it's the one of Craig walking down the gunbarrel. It's not great but best of a poor crop. Also perhaps noteworthy that it's being used for the soundtrack cover. If there isn't going to be another poster, then which of them is to be regarded as "official"? Which will appear on the DVD cover? None of them really looks like a film poster at all.

I mean for QOS we had the beautifull dessert background , for Casino Royale we had the killer background with Bond's walther on the table. These ones are just sad

wow...its realy sad that these poster makes the movie feel as if it doesen't have a soul

Exactly. They lack the ability to convey a specific mood, an overall vibe for the movie. They're effective, but bland. We know it's Bond (as if we didn't supect already!), but that's pretty much it.I am sure the one with craig walking down the gunbarell will be the final poster used in the Blu-ray.but its realy sad that these poster makes the movie feel as if it doesen't have a soul

We’ve not seen Skyfall yet, perhaps these posters do, “convey a specific mood, an overall vibe for the movie”
But that would make Skyfall bland, amateurish, uninspired, shallow and boring.
PS. I don’t think this will actually be the case, I’m just illustrating the disservice this artwork is doing.

Whether that is a second printing with her name added, I am not sure but I cannot remember offhand if there have been any final posters Without the song artist's name. Of course, further printings of what has already gone before is done to add ratings. No design change, just a PG.

However, like LTK, the trailers have been quite good. Funny that.
