I'm unable to watch the James Bond related videos however as I am in the US. Bummer. .

Never knew they existed before.
I tell you what I love the most in those pictures compared to recent films and even current Bond, there's not a green-screen in sight in the shots of the Liparus tanker submarine pen. Just a big, loud and glorious set which is rare in films today. It looks stunning, and proper Bond! I hope we get something like that again in a future Bond film - a big decent set!

Brilliant post scaramunga! Never seen those pics before, and will certainly check out the video after work.

Thanks! Yes, it would be nice to see these published in book form. Maybe the XL James Bond book will have some of these and more? I hope so!
I know what you mean on green screen! A buddy and I were discussing films last night specifically hearing about 4K development from Sony. A lot of the newer Bond films will be a challenge to get them up to 4K due to the green screen elements..
Anyway. Maybe the videos will end up on You Tube at some point? I really hope the Bond 50 box extras are expanded with more vintage features like these!!

I can't recommend strongly enough the Whicker's World programme--probably the best TV documentary I've seen on Connery Bond.
