Not to mention that he's an assassin and all that. The man had to commit murder - twice - to earn his licence to kill.

Not to mention he's lost his parents, wife, and almost his balls. I haven't read all the books but I wonder what the most darkest part of his life was in them?

Probably losing Tracy. He seems to take the ball-beating frightfully well.

Probably chapter two ("Curtains for Bond") of YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, where Bond is a total wreck after losing Tracy. Trying to solve his problems with hookers, drugs and hypnotherapy; none of them working.
