'Skyfall' Plot Synopsis.

"In SKYFALL, Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost."
This sounds amazing! Bond not questioning M's loyalty and not the other way around. Could M be a mole? Dame Judi's last. I had a feeling that something related to M could pop up!

No, I don't think she's a mole. CASINO ROYALE made it pretty clear that she is one of the last Cold Warriors. M may have done something in the past that is coming back to haunt her - and I'll bet Albert Finney was in on the conspiracy and Ralph Fiennes wants revenge for it.This sounds amazing! 2. He's going to have to kill her (and thereby face dilemma and "Ac-Ting") and it turns out he's mistaken / exploited by the villains (and thereby face further dilemma and "Ac-Ting"). Bit of a downer.
3. He's going to have to kill her (and thereby face dilemma and "Ac-Ting") and it turns out he's mistaken / exploited by the villains (and thereby face further dilemma and "Ac-Ting"). Bit of a downer until it turns out it was a fake assassination to draw out a coup to take over the British Government or Cheshire or something.
4. He's going to have to kill her (and thereby face dilemma and "Ac-Ting") and it turns out he's mistaken / exploited by the villains (and thereby face further dilemma and "Ac-Ting") until it turns out it was a fake assassination to draw out a coup to take over the British Government or Cheshire or something except in a final double-twist it turns out he intended to kill her all along anyway, and does. "Ac-Ting" ahoy.
It all sounds very jolly.
Except that this time, it's really, really personal and we mean it.

I really do have a feeling that M will be killed off you know.
So do I. Her character is too belligerent to be forced into retirement. This is shaping up to be an interesting film.

Of course, we could have a film without "Ac-Ting" but then that would be a "Doc-U-Ment-Tary"....

But killing her off is so ... boring. Have her resign in disgrace or something. Her character is too belligerent to be forced into retirement.
My only concern about this is that a lot of films and television shows have an older character with a deadly secret that comes back on them tenfold. "NCIS" did it; Mark Harmon's character assassianted a cartel leader who murdered his family. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" did it; Anthonry Steward Head's character experimented with dark magics in his youth, summoning a demon that lay dormant for thirty years until it started killing again. "Castle" did it; one of the characters was revealed to be a corrupt officer complicit in the accidental death of an FBI source.
So I really hope that whatever SKYFALL has up its sleeve, it's done really, really well.

Here we all are, enjoying a lovely press conference, and you have to go ruining it by introducing negativity. From the sound of it, this is shaping up to be TWINE Part II.
God help us all.

Oh c'mon, only like, 2 sentences exist regarding the plot. We literally know nothing. Reducing a 2+ hour movie to such a small bite would make anything sound run of the mill. I really don't think this is the sort of "personal" angle some people are predicting, either. I think the word could simply mean a standard conflict for the character since M is an ally, nothing more. There will be no vendetta or anything like that. Still, until we hear more, we really don't know. It'll fine though. At least Mendes seems to know what he's doing.

Marlohe is the only bit of casting that surprised me. As one of only two principal Bond girls, her role is likely to be sizable. Here's hoping she doesn't turn out to be the poor man's Sophie Marceau.
Doubtfall. I'm sure she'll be great. Hope bits of the conference make its way onto Youtube soon, I'm dying to see it.

Or the poor-man's anything, really. She's the one cast member I find questionable - given the talent around her, she could really stick out as a poor performer.Marlohe is the only bit of casting that surprised me. It's interesting that the film is taking place in China, but Tang Wei is not in.

M is going to catch a bullet by the sound of it. Is this what Mendes meant when he said: "There are lots of surprises, I will say that." ?

I'm not hearing it. I think you're jumping to conclusions based on previous speculation. There was nothing in the conference to suggest that M will be shot.M is going to catch a bullet by the sound of it. Is this what Mendes meant when he said: "There are lots of surprises, I will say that." ?

Mendes comes across and incredibly excited and confident. Much stronger than Marc Forster did in the QOS Press Conference.
I have a very good feeling about SkyFall.

Apart from this Earhole woman or whatever she's called, this is some heft of cast, innit?
Bring on theAc-Ting
WORSE! Not only does she have a crap CV when compared to the rest, she's also taller than Craig!
That damn box'll have to come out again! Cue cries of derision from the anti-Craig brigade!!!
Why, oh why, did they go and cast her?

He added that Skyfall "is its own story" and "doesn't connect with the last two movies".
So I guess that rules out the rumors about Mr. White and that the organization of Quantum will be back? Or are they hiding something?
Either way I'm excited. I already watched CR twice this week. It's time for a Bond marathon...speaking of which, I wonder if there is a Thanksgiving Bondathon...
"The first thing you should know about is...is that we have people everywhere..."
"Who is this organization Bond? How can they be everywhere and we know nothing about them?"
