This is a rumour or point of speculation that appears regularly. Of course, it's possible, but I can't see it happening. Jackman will probably be a bit old by the time they're looking for Bond #7, and he's too wedded to the X Men franchise for my liking. Don't see it.

Yeah, I agree. He's too deeply-embedded in other roles to be Bond.he's too wedded to the X Men franchise for my liking

Not a chance in my book.
Firstly he's already like too famous. Xmen, commercials. If you follow the background of every actor that portrayed Bond, you'll see that they were of the spotlight something that Jackman isn't.
Secondly he doesn't have the part in his blood. If you take Craig for instance and watch a couple of his films pre-Bond like Munich or even a low-budget one Archangel you'll see that he screams Bond from minute one. Jackman is a more like an action hero rather than a semi action hero semi drama actor. Of course that maybe due to the roles he'd taken till now, but I'm talking on what I have seen.

I'm sure he'd make a good if not great Bond, but I doubt it'll ever happen.

Too late. At the time of the first X-Men, he could have been a contender. These days, he´s having his own career. Also, he´s 42. Why should Craig leave approaching his mid-40´s when Jackman is mainly in his age group?
Old rumor, still false.

I believe people would see "Hugh Jackman Pretending To Be James Bond." With Craig, you see James Bond. The next actor will be a rising star or an unknown, not an established franchise actor.

Totally agree. Instead of a older, meglamaniac we could have an 'Evil Bond'. Like Goldeneye I suppose but done at the pace and style of the post CR movies.
