its not a laser, its machine gun blast.

a machine gun blast would be orange or yellow...not blue. it could be an advanced version of Goldfingers industrial laser?

That second screenie isn't the briefcase gun - it's definetely a laser by the looks of it.

It looks out of place on the level it's situated in - so does that mean it'll be part of the arsenal of weapons players get?

More of Bond in Space. This time he is not fireing the laser. I must say, this level draws heavily on Moonraker.

The briefcase gun looks awesome, and the second Image of Renard and the other guy who's firing the mounted laser is a tribute to Scaramanga's laser he uses to destroy Bond's plane after he lands on the island in TMWTGG

...but the question still remains. Is it part of the level, or a piece of the weaponary we'll get our hands on?

I would have said it was Scaramanga firing the weapon - but it doesn't look anything like him. That would fit in with some characters having their own unique weapon - such as Oddjob's hat.

This game looks so sweet. A new Bond movie and game in the same week! It can't get much better than this.

They are probably night-vision goggles, but I like your thought.

Also, it is really strange seeing OddJob and Pierce Brosnan in the same room. I just expected to see Connery's Bond in that screenshot.

I hope we will be able to play as the other 4 Bonds.

Yeah, I'd say they were goggles aswell of some sort.

All those screens are from the console versions.
The gun turrets are objects in the maps the players can use.
The guy firing the laser turret is Goldfinger...

It is Goldfinger! I dont think it matters too much on where the screens are from as both versions will be very similar.

Why is Oddjob holding his (oversized) hat and wearing another (properly-sized) one? I hope these are screenshots from the beta...

Hopefully this is still beta, but I doubt it. The screenshots were released on November 7. NOT MUCH TIME LEFT TO FIX IT!
