I am in no way a royalist, but I'm not sure what the Queen has said or done to deserve this attitude.

Aren't the cuts aimed at the American audience anyway? If so, it is towards other quarters that the vitriol should be aimed.

Attacks where appropriate folks.

I earn money ("earn's a bit vague, admittedly - get given, undeservedly)

I pay tax.

Tax pays for the Queen.

I pay for Queen.

So I get my say.

But paying for the salary still doesn't warrant undeserved attacks.

At the end of the day, why the vitriol?

And if there is a reason, then so be it. But until then, I rest confused.

We have in The Netherlands for this movie a 12 Years rating.

The ratings can be really silly. No more than 2 f words and you can have a PG-13. Use the f word as a noun, though, and you have an R. 1997's Conspiracy Theory has no nudity, sex, or F words, and it still got an R. I didn't think the violence was that bad.

I truly am upset that some of these scenes will be cut. I think Censorship sucks. Have a great day!!!!

M_balje - that last icon with the two feet was hilarious!

The MPAA system is unreliable at best. To this day, I have no idea why The Matrix was an R when it wasn't much more violent than the typical modern Bond film. The MPAA has actually been lax on Bond a few times (which is good): the PG-13 rating existed back in 1985 and yet AVTAK - being as violent as it is with Zorin's massacre and all - got a PG. Huh?
