Are there any audio or print interviews with Gardner? I've been looking around on the web, but can't come up with anything.

Terrific pair of interviews from zencat - thanks again for those.

Interesting that No Deals Mr Bond - which I am reading at the moment - was originally titled "Tomorrow Always Comes". Quite close to TND.

Gardner did seem to be tired of Bond, to the extent that one wonders why he persevered.

I remember the day TND was announced as the title of Bond 18 -- this was exactly my first thought. In both cases, however, I wondered why they didn't use the title Tomorrow Never Comes.

Another interview on Univex.

Although not 100% certain, I feel sure that 007 Magazine carried an interview with John Gardner at one time.

Raymond Benson did a phenomenal John Garder retrospective (based on an interview) called, "Gardner's World" in OO7 issue #28. Bondage interviewed Gardner in issues 11 and 14. Also, the Armchair Detective had a couple good Gardner interviews.

There's also this page on Gardner's official site. Not a Q&A, but very informative.

Yes, sorry, some of my links appear to be in the wrong place, but you can find it here: http://www.jeremydun.../LITERATURE.htm - very short, though.

I've just read a snippet of Jeremy Duns' spy novel Free Agent - and it looks quite promising.

Interesting interview with Gardner, there.
