Mrs. Tallon and I had a lovely time, Orlandobond. Thank You! I can't stress highly enough what a remarkable experience Opeation Euro 2010(07) will be. We're looking forward to joining the CBn team and our other friends on what will unquestionably be the Bond tour of a lifetime.

Major T:

Offtopic but our man in FL reports that you have an operative that has infiltrated the organisation that I MAE refer to as Univex, where I too, toil daily. All that time discussing Bond last year, and who knew. Small world syndrome continues.

Beleive Charleton Heston had the best dam update in "Planet of the Apes"---but, yes, we have continued to enhance the Paris tour portion, visits to SPECTRE, an evening at the Moulin Rouge we hope to meet with some special guests..

Sorry TRS, you are so good a trivia, I thought it apparent.
The Dam reference to Charleton Heston is, of course, from POTA
You blew it up! Damn you. God damn you all to hell...
of course, we will have dam hats too.

You forgot to mention the cigar classes on the tour...note, we are having a professional sommelier join us as well who will be blogging on the wines and cocktails of James Bond. The CBn crew should have her worried...

Sounds like the plan- Vespers and The Last Word. We certainly are on for Harry's Bar martini's in Venice and Paris, both bars are very classic. For Cortina and Piz Gloria evenings, our trip has a mixologist coming from a famous resort bar that is known to make some very good cocktails and the wine selections should test your palates. She is hoping to put on an event at the Miramonti.

Both versions of Harry's are Fleming Bond sites as well. I suppose I might make my way there. Just for the decor, of course.

Yes, this trip will be a "Pay attention...." type of trip.

orlandobond are we going to get a detailed list of all attending via email like last year?

Well, I might as well come clean now... I won't be on that email list Jeff is requesting.

Last week, while on a cruise, I got the offer for a "dream job" and one that will see me resign from my current job of 20 years.

In a very Casino Royale-like moment, I submitted my regisnation via my laptop while onboard the ship--slightly modified for a 2 week notice and slightly modified from a sailboat to a cruise ship.

Thus, bottom line, I was unable to secure time off in August due to the overlapping dates with a major trade show and since this gig is a huge personal accomplishment for me, had no desire to rock the boat by playing the pre-planned time off card, when I knew Orlandobond was aware of this and thus this potential was already addressed way back when.

I think I even mentioned to Double Oh 7 during a PM regarding the QOS score, that I was still on the fence due to some potential job changes.

So, while I shall miss all of you this time round, I console myself that in addition to having been to most of the locales, I am beginning to live my second life, which has an expectancy of longer than 10 days.

Travel safe, travel happy and do not get into any dam trouble.

Sorry to see you won't be making this trs but one can't argue with your reason. Your Casino Royale-esque resignation is classic. Congrats on the new job!

It's always a big step launching a new chapter in life, and it goes without saying that we wish you the very best. We'll certainly miss you this summer, but hopefully there'll be a future trip where we can all get together.

With all best wishes,

Gentlemen, not surprised but still depressed on the EON film cancellation announcement today. On a bit brighter side, we have welcomed two new agents to the tour from France. We have also been working with the James Bond French Club on our SpectreClub Parisian Party, should be a great evening. Bond Posters will have a table there with limited signed Moore lithos.

As on LTK2009, we do so at the Opening Night Martini Party and Dossier delivery to keep the mystery of the mission going. Many of you are arriving Venice over two days and different times, so should be an interesting slow reveal of agents.
We also are getting some last minute sign-ups as the date approaches and agents wish to get a summer vacation in and/or look to no premiere next year or anytime soon.

It was quite amusing, working my way around the room at the first night's party and asking "Is anybody here on CBn?"

And what a delightful crew it was! Hope to see all of you in Venice.

Gentlemen, I have been in contact today with operatives in Switzerland and they inform me our mission at the Verzasca Dam needs to be firmed up. If your back is in need of stretching, this is far better than Shrublands and you get a free irrigation. The agency, of course, cannot endorse nor encourage your activity.
