I saw the title 'Goldeneye' today when I was looking up titles during lunch, and I was wondering if it was that they took and made the movie with Pierce Bronson in.

Sounds like the Novelization of the film Goldeneye you refer to JessC. It's the film in story format. The film came first, then the book.

Novel, Nintendo game, and other spinoffs came after the 1995 movie. "Goldeneye" is the name of the estate in Jamaica where Ian Fleming wrote many of the original books. The title comes from this.
