TLD seems the most romantic for me for reasons already stated by others. QoS or TMWTGG are near the bottom of the pile.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service without the slightest doubt. Perhaps also Casino Royale, but Bond falls in love towards the end of the film (right after the torture).

QOS is a deeply romantic film; it's about a guy who can't get over the death of a women he loved.

That has nothing to do with romance.....but with a guy who needs to see a psychiatrist.

Obviously the most romantic James Bond is OHMSS. The romantic standout sequences were done in Portugal, at Guincho Beach, Estoril Coast, Santarém (bullfight), Lisbon (Baixa/Chiado), Queluz (Palácio) and speak for themselves, with Louis Armstrong providing the love song track.

After that, I think Casino Royale cames in second within this poll.

Love BOTH films B)

My thoughts exactly. The Bond of QoS is still desperately in love with Vesper, hates her intensely because of her betrayal, and yet again feels for her because he knows she was tricked into betraying him. It is the most complex mindset we've seen the film Bond in, which is why QoS is my favourite Bond film. And that dynamic is romantic, though not of the clichéd kind.

I would've said that Quantum of Solace had the potential to be a very romantic film, unfortunately, that was masked by action. B)

Saying that, I would say that 'What's keeping you awake?' and 'I Never Left!" to be very tender scenes, indeed.

Have you not seen Hitchcock's Vertigo then?

True, but I think you're underestimating "cliched romance".

After watching CASINO ROYALE earlier tonight, I'd have to say that it is, hands down, the most romantic of the Bond films.

I'd say that Thunderball, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The Living Daylights, and Casino Royale are the most romantic Bond films with The Living Daylights earning the top spot.

TLD for all the reasons stated. The reason I say it and not OHMSS is that Lazenby-Bond shagging half the women at Piz Gloria (while apparently very much in love with Tracy) sort of puts a damper on the "romantic" mood.

I'm not a big fan of the Bond films as romances anyway.

I'd agree with many here - TLD, OHMSS and CR are the most romantic. I also find FYEO a bit more romantic than the average Bond also - if you can get pasted the "Bibi" factor.

Hard for me to answer,I automatically think of OHMSS,but will opt for TLD. Of course OHMSS is considered the great romantic Bond film, and Bond and Tracy genuinely fall in love in it. It has We Have All The Time In The World, one of the greatest love songs ever, and that tragic ending. However,I think TLD edges it [although for the most part it's not as good a film of OHMSS though I do like it a lot]. In OHMSS Bond and Tracy sleep together almost immediately, and of course Bond sleeps with the two women at Piz Gloria. However,in TLD,the courtship is more traditional, they don't appear to sleep together until three quarters of the way through, while Bond doesn't bed any other women after he's met Kara.

Oddly enough,I also consider TB to be quite strong too,I love the Cape Martinique scene where Bond dances with Domino,it has a real romantic tone to it.

1/TLD
2/OHMSS
3/CR
4/TB
5/FYEO.

Least romantic,probably TMWTGG or MR.

OHMSS - CR - TLD.

The trifecta.

Bond is essentially a Byronic hero. That's rather cliched.

Try using that line with a significant other and see where it gets you. B)
