To celebrate the release of By Royal Command (and Devil May Care) in paperback on Thursday, Absolute Radio is running special Bond programming all week. Starting Monday, Absolute will be airing a series of pre-recorded trails and live reads from By Royal Command, as well as offering fans a chance to win a copy of the book. This will culminate Saturday (30 May) on the Jo Russell morning breakfast show where 2 phone-in listeners will battle it out to win a family holiday in Jamaica!

Full details on the Absolute Radio Young Bond page.

There are more tie-in giveaways and goodies coming next week. Then on June 1st I will launch my own (exclusive) competition. Trust me, what I'll be giving away is VERY special indeed! B)

All seems very interesting.

According to the website:
Young Bond, SilverFin, Blood Fever, Double or Die, Hurricane Gold, By Royal Command and Eye Logo are registered trademarks of Danjaq, LLC, used under licence by Ian Fleming Publications Limited
That can't be right, can it?

WTF?

Well spotted, Cat.

Maybe Danjaq bought Young Bond for movie possibilities or just to be sure they own all incarnations of James Bond.

EDIT: Just looked in my paperback By Royal Command and all the copyright info is IFP, so...

Curious.

Yeah, I checked too before posting (didn't want to look a total idiot). B)

Just a mistake on the site's part I think. Someone should clarify with them.

I don't know. I just spotted it on a second webpage (a Puffin competition this time). Same wording. Huh.

This is most strange. But why would Danjaq be in the copyright information of the books? I could understand IFP being in the copyright of potential films, but this is a bit weird.

Unless they just up and bought the whole Young Bond package -- books, logo, film rights, etc., just to have total control. Maybe after the 40+ year nightmare that was Kevin McClory, they make a point of buying everything James Bond whether they intend to do anything with it or not. Just speculation on my part. My only concern is how this could impact a series 2. (If any of this is true.)

Good questions. I might have missed that last one had it not been multiple choice.
