I would assume that there is a good chance that all of the non-Brosnan Bond movies will be in HD and in some sort of Widescreen format. This is a pretty good marathon and is definitely the best Summer Bond marathon in two or three years.

I can't imagine many people in the USA watching a channel called USA on the evening of the USA's birthday. (We're usually outside trying to blow our hands off.) Do cable ratings matter?
Also, at least they're showing OHMSS, regretfully at the butt-crack of dawn on a Monday. Oh well, at least I'll have something to watch while getting ready for work...

Well cable ratings do matter to the cable stations and USA network is one of the most popular cable stations when it comes to their original shows like Monk, Burn Notice, and Psych and their the only cable station that runs re-runs of House and NCIS which makes the channel pretty popular plus they pretty much get most of the movie premieres over the network stations so I would say that the ratings do matter to them but hey sure we'll all be outside setting off firecrackers but some people may want to wait later until it gets real dark when the firework show really begins. Your comment on OHMSS is fitting since at least they are playing it, I think its been close to 2 years since its been on cable TV, so its a good opportunity for those who don't own the DVD to DVR it and watch it a more appropriate time but at least they are playing it which is better than what Spike TV (or should I say "The CSI Network") has done in the past 2 years.
