I went to Target this morning and picked up its exclusive package [$24.99]of Qos 2-disc DVD with the 48-page booklet "James Bond Vehicles". The contents of this booklet were taken from DK's "James Bond Encyclopedia".

I don't think that this exclusive package is really worth a trip to Target and the extra $2 (Bestbuy sells Qos 2-disc special edition for $22.99).

Just got my copy from Target this morning... I was happy to find out that the exclusive booklet was NOT a mini copy of Bond on Set, as they did last time with Casino Royale, but rather something different. B)

It's quite pathetic really, why steal something from an Encyclopedia? It's just plain laziness. B)

What? It's a tie-in. How is this hard to understand? They did something similar with Casino Royale IIRC.

I know, but you would think they would make a little more effort. Make something that the fans can't get anywhere else, if you know what I mean.

Too expensive for a pack in. Be thankful you got anything at all.

Darn it! B) Why did I bother to preorder Quantum of Solace from Barnes and Noble?

How was the general Target reaction...was QoS flying off the shelf?

I'm asking cuz Twilight sold 3m in one day and had people lining up for it.

I think if you announce a midnight release date for a film, you're expecting people to be lining up for it.

Picked up the Target exclusive today. Sure the book is just taken from the recently released James Bond Encyclopedia, but it's still a nice little collectible.

I liked the book. The problem is you almost need a magnifying glass to read it! But nice to read about the vehicles of James Bond through the years.

The print is definitely for the 'young of sight'!

I picked my copy up on the way home from work this evening, but while show some willpower and wait until Friday evening to watch the movie.

Came home from work to find my wife had picked up the Target special 2 disc set for me. Can't complain about the extra booklet and with the coupon she used it was cheaper than anywhere else. Going to have a back-to-back viewing with Casino this weekend, just to test the continuity. The only major gaff I see at this point is Bond's and White's suits are different from the end of one to the beginning of the next.

I picked it up at Target as well. I already own the encyclopedia so the book was a let-down. Oh well, only a few bucks more then it would have been at Best Buy.

Is the DVD packaging larger to incorporate book/booklet or was it simply shrink-wrapped to the back of the standard double disc release?

The Target edition has an additional box that holds both the two-disc special edition DVD and the book inside.
