In the recent Marc Forster interview, Mr. Forster states: "I just did the commentary for the Bond DVD the other day..."
So, no surprise that there will be another double-dip (since the upcoming DVD release will have no commentary).
Anyone know how long the gap between the initial release and special edition has been in recent years? The CR SE disc (with commentary) was released just prior to QoS, but I hate to think that I'll have to wait until the next movie (2011?).
Unfortunately, I'll be unable to restrain myself from buying both versions anyway...
When will QoS Special Edition DVD come out?

in sync with the release of the next Bond film, next year or the year after, when ever they decide to do it.
Thinking about it is 2010 now out of the question has a release date, we surely would know something by now?

I would assume it'll be either right with the release of Bond 23 (whenever that may be) or along with the release of the final set of original Bond films on Blu-ray (again, whenever that may be).
Bit of a guessing game, really.

Sony doesn't own the rights to the Quantum of Solace DVD. MGM/FOX does.
