- Daniel Craig was like a force of nature
- It had another original title sequence, which thematically fits the movie. The speeding bullet kind of describes where this movie's heading later on. Good theme song too, imo.
- Olga Kurylenko wasn't just a wall flower
- It had some classic dry humor, that some people might have missed (obviously)
- Everyone did a grand job in the acting department. No cringeworthy scenes like in Casino Royale
- Same with the sets. There didn't seem to be any sets that looked like sets. Casino Royale had at least one set that yelled ; look at me, I'm a set (M's apartment. The scene also contained cringeworthy material, not found in Quantum)

But SOLACE is the real mould-breaker.
And I still don't understand why you make this claim. Is it because of Camille's "journey" (which, honestly, ain't all that much of a hill of beans, really), because of the way the Palio sequence is edited (with its unusual noting of collateral damage), because of how we've never seen Bond unsentimentally chuck a good buddy into a dumpster before, or because of all those things and more, or because of some stroke of fiendish brilliance running through the film that I've somehow managed to miss despite having seen the thing four or five times?
Mind you, I guess this is supposed to be a thread of pure praise, so I'll bow out now, although I'll leave y'all with the assurance that I do like the flick very much, merely that I can't quite follow some people's praising of it to the heavens.
No movie's that good.
Tell that to those relentless TDK fanboys.

Camille wore a nice dress.
Prada. Kurylenko and Aterton were dressed by Prada.

It's an hour and fifty minutes.
And no, that's not sarcasm. One of QoS strengths is it's pacing, especially after multiple viewings. Name a single other film in the series that doesn't lag or sag. Maybe LTK, which has trouble getting into gear though once it's does it moves well. With all the criticism that's been thrown at the action editing, then it's only fair that some kudos gets given to how well the whole thing is structured. All the changes in tempo are natural, unlike say, the last 40 minutes of CR.

Wankers for waiting for Episodes 7, 8 and 9 which will arrive in theatres when Lucas turns 85.
