LOL at Ralph Fiennes appearing on the supporting actor list three times! He'd better win for In Bruges, though it'll probably go to that joker person :(

Er, kind of took the thread off course a bit didn't I.

Thanks for posting. Will be interesting to see how many QUANTUM OF SOLACE longlist nominations also reach the shortlist. Good to see Judi Dench getting at least some recognition. A nod for editing would surely generate some good discussion here...

The BAFTA longlist don't mean squat. Virtually anything can get on it, and usually does.

I imagine in presenting the award Daniel will be similar to how he is in most interviews: professional but reserved, and basically just hand out the award. Although to be fair, most of that awfully scripted "So Joe, what do you think about.." 'comedy banter' fails most of the time, and I can't imagine Daniel would be comfortable doing it anyway.

BBC One streaming link - although this may only be available in the UK.

Gemma Arterton also presented an award earlier.

Well it was a pretty horrible show. Congrats to Slumdog! Not so much to the BBC.

Well there was a funny bit at the beginning when Woss said "Mamma Mia showed us that Meryl Streep could sing beautifully...and that Pierce Brosnan was a great James Bond". Then they cut to Craig for an obligatory reaction shot.

I noticed that the montage of the year's movies was quite QOS heavy, more so than it would be at a US awards show.

So Daniel presented the award to his costar from a Kid in King Arthur's Court?

She dedicated her award to that film actually :(

It was nice though, I seem to remember she gave him a massive hug.

Kate Winslet needs to be in a Bond movie. I remember wishing that she would get the role of Vesper. Anyway, Craig looked great at the Baftas. Hope he keeps that look for Bond 23.

Winslet I believe has ruled herself out as a Bond leading lady. On the British Film Forever season on BBC2 two years ago when discussing CR she joked that she didn't have the body for it. Given her rep as a 'serious' actress it's probably a case of Kate not wanting to play the 'love interest' or indeed second fiddle.
