........spoilers........

i just registered and since my born language isnt english ill do my best not to writte to many mistakes.

first- i did not enjoy the movie, why?

lets start with the begining. i`m a huge bond fan and like everyone around here i was expecting a great begining from this QOS , not talking about many bang bangs and booms, but a serious opening with lots of style like mister daniel craig showed us in the previous movie. humm ,no, i got a jason bourn editing of a stupid car chase ending with a guy poping out the trunk. well not a good start lets hope they will stop showing all the frames of all the camera spots. they didnt.

the plot aint that interesting. i mean i like revenge movies, well love it but in this one, i really did not see any action that was worth watching unlike the previous movie, too many bourne cliches, not many character development as i expexted like everyone was saying. by the time the movie ended i was still trying to understand what had just happened. i guess it was my fault and every bond fan because after a huge success always comes a huge dissapoitment and unfortunatly this was the case, and i think the producers knew this after they maid the movie, because as they said they are expecting to see this movie not as a bond movie itself but as a sequel to casino royale.

i see that many people love the movie and to them i simply hope they open their eyes and improve their expectations or this will end as pirates of the caribians, america is just like that when it comes to movies, casino royale- big box office so lets make a sequel, this is no news, they v been doing this for ever and we always fall for it, i dont mean dont watch the movie but just please dont say its the best there is and that it should continue like this... dont turn james bond into a solo killing machine, it will ruin the magic, casino royale was great and very original.

this quantum of solace was a waist of time.
daniel craig is a good bond and we will certainly see more great bond movies...

merry christmas to everyone and a happy new year

How many negative threads do we need?

How about amalgamating this thread into the two or three other negative ones?

OR

How about puting it under "member's reviews"?

Nothing personal, Fellas.

And, by the way, welcome to the forums and welcome to CBn.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you as well.

Those eye candy shots of Italy (!) weren't stylish enough for you?

It has the most stylish opening of any Bond movie. You didn't like the cuts between Italy and the vehicle interiors?
The plot wasn't interesting? Lack of character development? This is a common criticism. Watch it again. I strongly believe that QOS has more depth with the characters and one of the best stories of any of the movies.
Thankfully Bond has recovered from its Pirates of the Caribbean era. The Brosnan era has ended.

I think you may be wrong in this statement. There have been alot of Bond movies that have gone to Number 1 at our box office but haven't stayed there for a super long time which doesn't mean that it getes a part 2. Look at every Bond film in history.

Just because a movie does very well in the United States does not guarantee a sequel. Usually there are contractual obligations to ensure a sequel or trilogy of a film series THEN the media has to hype it to the masses.

It's an unending vicious circle that Hollywood will have to repent for someday. :(
