Maybe, that's if he returns. I'd love it if this was the case though, but i'd rather see some colder locations.

He might have been promoted to something else by the time the next story plays.
I don't mind, as long as we see more of him. I'm not complaining about QoS, but I still would have liked to see more of him.

I'd rather Leiter take part in the climatic action, in the way he did in Fleming's books - Goldfinger, Thunderball, TMTWGG, for example.
Rather that than he progress toward being merely a CIA bureaucrat as most of the movie casting has implied (Linder, Burton, Hedison in LALD, Wright in QOS).
