[Innukchuck]

During the pre-production, filming and post-production of Quantum of Solace, there were several rumors about the movie that ended up being bogus. Which are your favorites? Which you'd like it were truth? Which you thanked when where confirmed as fakes?

Here's some of what i remember, starting with the infamous list from the "EON's ex-employee":

- As we see in the trailer, Bond is kissing Fields’ back. Bond then kisses his way up to her neck. Fields tells Bond that “He is more of a man then anyone she has ever met!” (Vespers says this in CR) at this point Bond quickly removes himslelf from Fields and sits on the edge of the bed, and burys his hands in his face. Bond looks and feels really guilty as he is just reminded of Vesper, Fields asks what’s wrong with him. We see quick flash frames of Vesper in Bond’s mind. He gets up from the bed and goes in the bathroom. Whilst washing his face he is knocked out by Elivis who grabs the back of his hair and smashes his head of the bathroom mirror. Bond is awoken by the sound of an ambulance he finds the bedroom trashed and Fields gone. When he looks over the balcony he finds Fields dead – She has been thrown off. (This is the homage to Goldfinger what Arterton said towards the beginning of the shoot: Bond leaving the girl >>>> Bond get’s knocked out cold >>>>> Bond finds the girl dead)

- The Gunbarrel will be back at the start of the movie, it will be a new design since MK12 are creating it. The design it self will stay true to it’s previous incarnations.

- The sequence of the PTS is in this order: Gunbarrel >>> Mr. White gets shot >>>> Bond introduces himself >>>> Bond throws White in the DBS >>>> The Car Chase >>>> Opening Titles >>>> Interiggation.

- The shot of Bond walking in the desert with the Machine Gun will be the very last shot of the movie – There is no Camille.

- M sends a Swat team after Bond which he has 30 seconds to escape. Bond jumps from one building to another from the roof (The building’s arent that far apart)

- Bond and Camille freefall after an enemy plane destroys there aircraft. They land in the middle of the desert.

- An Assasin tries to murder Bond in one of the hotel elavators.

- Bond is still deeply hurt by Vespers betrayal and suicide so much that he has to be restrained after he kicks White in the leg after he **** him off in the interiggation scene.

- An Mi6 Traitor murders another Mi6 agent in the Interiggation scene, and sucessfully helps White escape, this is the guy Bond fights in the trailer and chases through Sienna.

- There will be flashbacks of Vesper, but Eva Green has not filmed any new footage. So the only footage of her would be from Casino Royale, Unused Shots and maybe Deleted Scenes.

- M gets REALLY angry with Bond throughout the course of the movie, probably because she holds him responsible for Fields' death.

- Bond promises M that his latest mission will not personal but all he has on his mind is revenge.

- Bond confronts Vespers algerian boyfriend in the movie.

- Greene swings at Bond with an axe

- Mathis and Bond are at loggerheads as Bond still thinks that Mathis is a traitor. Mathis has to prove his innocence, if he is innocent at all….

- Bond comprimises his position at the Tosca as he impales Mr White (This is where the whole… “I thought I could trust you” thing comes from in the trailer)

- Camille is plotting to kill Greene as he murdered her family, Greene doesn’t know this as he is in a relationship with her. Bond is sent to track down and question Camille (Hence the Gun and the Photo in the trailer), after a fight on a boat she reveals to Bond her true intentions towards Greene and they team up and go after him.

- Bond and the MI6 Traitor fall through the roof of the Art Gallery in Sienna.

- General Medrano gets killed in a boat explosion.

- Felix has very little screentime in this movie.

- Greene’s fate in unknown – He is still at large (This is why Bond raises his gun in the desert at the end of the movie and in the teaser)

- Bond flirts with Camille at the party, Greene and Elvis interupt them. Greene then insults Cammile who proceeds to slap him over the face. After a heated argument Bond elbows Greene and pushes Elvis down some stone steps.

- Bond drives through a massive lorry with his DBS causing it to explode

- Vespers Algerian Boyfreind and his associate have an Algerian Loveknot identical to Vespers

- After Bond kicks the guy off the bike he picks up a machine gun and shoots his way through thugs trying to capture him, he throws the gun away and jumps onto the back of a boat.

- When the SWAT Team raid the bar Felix tells them that Bond went "that way" (He didn't, he made them go off on a tangent)

- Bond orders a Martini, Stirred not Shaken... he realises he doesn't like it and orders one Shaken Not Stirred, Bond and Fields have a laugh about it and he takes her back to his hotel room. (One of the more humourus parts of the movie)

- M begins to suspect Bond of being a traitor (this will be carry on into the next movie, M will keep a very close eye on Bond)

- Villiers is mentioned in the movie, he is on leave as he is getting married.

Anyone remember that rumour about the PTS?

Bond was to be involved in a massive truck explosion, but due to the accident involving the stuntman and the DBS, they decided to drop the scene.

Amazing how wildly fans can misinterpret a few seconds of on set footage or an off the cuff remarks in an interview. I saw something on the web suggesting M would have a field office actually in the cisterns of Sienna, like something Bernard Lee would have used in the 70’s.

Talking of M’s office, there was some mention of the MI6 headquarters having glass walls that could turn opaque at the touch of a button. Did that make it into the movie and I just missed it? I meant to lookout for it second viewing, but forgot.

A bad bit of grammar in a BBC news story led some fans to state, categorically, that Forster was co-writing the screenplay himself, directly.

Oh, and all that lovely "Forster's an arthouse director who won't include any action" stuff. He he!

I remember reading rumors about Abbie Cornish and Carice Vane Houten up for Bond Girl roles. I must assume it was for "Fields" because neither one of them looks ev even remotely South American. Olga actually passed - all they had to do was give her a deep tan. But Abbie and Cornish are too North European looking.

Also heard Adriana Lima was up for the role of Camille. Thank God she didn't get it. Olga was perfect. Adriana Lima is looks and sounds like a South American Denise Richards.

I thought the kiss was very appropriate as they had shared a deep emotional bond (pun intended)

They must have misinterpreted the magic touchscreens in the finish product for what occurred in TMWTGG the novel...

- Bond would suffer an assassination attempt that would led to the Boat chase.

- Greene would shot Camille dead, and would be shoot dead by Bond in retaliation.

- Bond would be permanently fired from MI6 at the end of the movie.

- Fields would be the MI6 traitor.

I'd go with the simpler idea that the car chase would be so good it would make Bond the franchise with the best car chase sequences. Oh well, it was a nice idea.

No, it didn't make it into the film. It's a shame - it's a very cool (and very real) technology.

I thought the title sequence was supposed to be this long grand mini-movie. I get to the theater, see the PTS and was like damn, that was short, so much for 15 mins.
