Yes. I can read. There's no need to be a smart :( about it. I thought that the latter half of the quote was a complaint.

Casino Royale by far.

QoS is alright. But it feels so empty and haphazardly conceived to me, particularly in the dialogue department.

Casino Royale is my favorite, but I still liked Quantum.

Ditto.

I like both of them and the refreshing job Craig does as our new Bond. However, I like Casino Royale better simply because of the pacing. QoS is too reliant on action, and Bond is NOT supposed to be an action hero. He is first and foremost a spy.

It's hard for me to judge which one is better. Casino Royale is a great film with a truly memorable pair of performances from Daniel Craig and Eva Green (Green is, IMO, far and away the best of the Bond girls). What Casino Royale also has is a fair number of the Bond conventions in it, such as "The line", "Shaken or stirred", and other aspects of the Bond formula that we know all too well. Where Quantum of Solace succeeds is that it completely throws all of that out the window and is really the most original and different Bond film that we've seen in a long time. I can forgive its action-heavy first half because of the originality that Forster brought to the film (the shootout in Sienna was one of the best moments in the franchise, if not the best).

I liked them both, but Casino Royale is the better one.

Casino Royale felt more classical Bond , whereas parts of Quantum of Solace were just too action heavy.

Casino Royale also had the better Bond girl and Villain in the form of Le Chiffre.

Casino Royale by far, excellent performances from Craig, Dench and Green, not to mention that Vesper is one of the best Bond girl. Qos was a little unbalance with the action here and there but Craig still did a great job.

It's 2 parts of 1 great film.

NO, they're not.

They're two separated movies (just like Craig stated), very differents one from each other.

I view them almost as three separate movies. you have casino royale 1 which is everything up to the miami chase. casino royale 2 which starts with bond on the train with vesper and is essentially the story from the book. and then quantum of solace.

as for which is my favorite, im not sure which to pick, i love casino royale but i have definitely watched quantum of solace many more times.

Have you tried watching the car chase in slow motion?

The detail and acting is fantastic.

Highly recommended

QUANTUM OF SOLACE was very good, but my vote goes for CASINO ROYALE.

Favourite Daniel Craig James Bond film?

My favorite Daniel Craig Bond film is whatever turns out to be his last. It will be my favorite for ending a dull and forgettable era and possibly opening the door for better films and maybe a return to the fun and silliness that made the series successful in the first place.

Wow... no accounting for taste.

To each his own, but I think Craig made Bond interesting again after that "dull and forgettable" period known as the Brosnan Era.

The Craig era. So dull and forgettable that it drew in how much money at the box office? An awful lot plus a bit more besides. To say nothing of the critical acclaim, and the awards and award nominations. I'll guess that, in retrospect, the producers wished they had made a few more dull and forgettable Bond movies like CR and QoS!

QOS. CR is a nice throwback to 60s Bond, but QOS feels like a Fleming thriller (for me it's the books first, films second).
