Jodie Foster will present THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there someone else in that film...

Nah. I must be thinking of something else.

Solex,
I will be buying my tickets tomorrow morning. This is very exciting news as Connery doesn't tend to do many of these.

I will be buying my tickets tomorrow morning.

I hope there are still tickets left by the time you get to work and get online! I was just not paying attention and literally found out about this at midnight. I couldn't find any direct links on the arclight website when I first looked but there's the AFI page where you can link to the arclight page to get tickets: http://www.afi.com/t...tm/default.aspx -- anywho... I bought tickets for zencat and myself after checking out seat availability and seeing that seats were vanishing left and right. It took me a couple of tries to secure seats. This is going to be fantastic!

The Jerk w/ Steven Martin is already sold out. I remember seeing him at a screening of "Shopgirl" when it came out. If it weren't for Connery I would have gone to see Steven Martin.

I just bought tickets for myself and a friend. The seats are almost all gone.

EDIT TO ADD: I'm hoping that Michael Caine shows up as a surprise guest. That would rule!

Not too surprising though, considering the guests!

Friend of mine came through! :(

Pretty good seats and now the trick is seeing if we can make it that night. Hopefully Miss West and I will be able to, but we've got some possible conflicts on the 1st and first thing on the 2nd. Meetings, meetings, meetings. Ugh.

Hopefully we'll see everyone there.

I was at the Cinerama Dome yesterday for The Godfather and The Godfather Part II and just a word of caution: it was really cold in there.

An awesome evening it was. I was a mere 7 rows away from Sir Sean. It was an oddly touching experience to see and hear him speak so sincerely, albeit briefly. And an extra nice bonus was getting to say hello to my CBn colleagues in attendance!

We weren't allowed to take pictures in the theater when Sean Connery was speaking (really not even supposed to have camera in there, but I'm good at hiding things from security, lol) but I did get a shot of him before the screening as he was talking to the press on the red carpet (taken from inside the Cinerama Dome looking out the front windows)...
