Rest assured, I'm already scheming up something as I've been bombarded by emails from those that have attended my previous gatherings.
I'll keep you in the loop.
Me? Bond premiere party?
No, they're never any fun.

But it'll probably be at the Arclight in The Dome. This is Sony's primo screen.

I have yet to hear of an official premeire Solex. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something staged at Westwood or Mann's though.

It is always exciting to hear of you scheming.

Looking forward, my friend!

Plans are afoot. That's what makes scheming fun.

I have a feeling Quantum of Solace is NOT going to be playing at the Chinese Theater (thought it would be awesomely loverly) because there are two premieres at the theater on either side of Quantum of Solace's release date which means those movies will be playing at the theater itself...

Hmmm....surely they wouldn't keep a SAW movie around for more than three weeks though? They are strictly one weekend wonders that fizzle out as soon as Halloween has come and gone.
And does "Summit Entertainment" (whoever the hell they are) have enough clout to get the best screen in LA? Make way for BOND, you emo vampire geeks!

Be careful what you say about companies.

Just as an FYI Twilight is an incredibly popular franchise and one that will most likely take in quite a bit of money. My bet is that QoS will open at the Dome.
Be careful what you say about companies.
Why, do they have people everywhere?
I'm aware of Twilight's popularity amongst the tween set. But when I saw CR at the Mann, the line to get in was around the block. I'm sure this isn't uncommon when big movies open there, but Bond is a proven moneymaker; Twilight, as yet, is not.

Twilight is the most anticipated movie of the fall, but no worries Bond will make a ton of money regardless.
Let's just say I work for a film company.

And on that note, now that Harry Potter has vanished, QOS and The Day the Earth stood still are generally regarded as the two big heavy hitters of the fall. Twilight is not - no four quadrant appeal, if we're going to get all industry-speak about it.

Quantum of Solace will rock, of course... but as for the Mann Chinese, I've not seen them snag up the "best" movies since the beginning of 2008 actually. I was shocked that the ne Indy movie wasn't showing there. The Arclight seems to be taking over. And hey, you know... have a Martini before AND after your movie without even leaving the theater, who can say no to that?

You can also buy tickets on their web-site. Easy to do with you're at work (depending on if you work near a computer!).Cause I'd like to get the day off from work to get there early to buy tickets.

The Arclight Cinema's website tends to lock up horrendously when tons of people are trying to buy tickets for something at the same time. Getting LOTR tickets online was a nightmare I'd rather not repeat with QOS. It's possible the website has improved dramatically since, but I'm not wanting to risk it if I don't have to.You can also buy tickets on their web-site. Hum... well I will say the internet system for buying tickets for The AFI Screening (w/ Connery) seemed to hold together pretty well for the tickets being sold out hours later. The Arclight Cinema's website tends to lock up horrendously when tons of people are trying to buy tickets for something at the same time. We're actually getting a group together to see the film @ the ArcLight the night of Fri, Nov 14th. If there is anyone in town who would like to join in on this group I'm passing the final number of tickets onto our "buyer" the morning of Mon, Oct 13... so shoot me a PM w/ your contact info and number of tickets by midnight Oct 12 and we'll get you in on the fun.
jaguar007 & Double-O-7... I don't have the details yet and it's not my event so I probably shouldn't say too much about it, but Bryce throws his 007 premiere parties and from the sounds of it will be doing in on Sat the 15th... so if you two are planning on coming into town you should def contact him and see what the deal it with that. Again, I don't know if he's got a headcount limit or anything else but there you go.

Does that require a passport?
I'm sure it will be at the Hollywood Arclight. Just isn't listed yet.

I chose not to go to that since I don't know when (or where) Casino Royale will be screened, so instead I'm going to the 12:10 pm show. I just bought my ticket.

CASINO ROYALE screens at 9 pm. QOS follows at 12:01 in the Dome. Neither film is going to start on time. Trust me, I live two blocks from the joint and go to movies there all the time. They'll allow people to get seated before the movie starts.

So its confirmed to be in the dome, right?
And The Dome is, y'know, an awesome place? I've never been in there. Please assure me that $30 for two tickets plus extra for gas, parking, etc is gonna be worth it!
Will QOS be showing on IMAX anywhere?
