The Daily Mail's gossip column on Friday carried a brief chat with actor Nathanial Parker, who light-heartedly said how he was annoyed not to have played a main part in his brother Oliver's "The Importance of Being Ernest". At the end, he said that there had been talk of his brother directing the next Bond film, so he was hoping to get a part in that.
It's probably way too early to be talking directors, and Parker doesn't seem to have the credentials as director, but it's interesting to note anyway.
Oliver Parker as director?

If it's the same Parker I'm thinking of, he's the one who directed the Laurence Fishburne-Kenneth Branagh version of "Othello". Interesting, kind of like going back to a non-action director along the lines of Apted. Maybe they'd be best to make sure they get directors who can handle the action first.

Personally, I'd rather see Nathaniel as Bond than Oliver directing Bond.
