To kick off promotion for the paperback, a solid gold copy of Hurricane Gold was revealed today at a big press event at the IWM Fleming exhibition. I don't have pics from the event (yet), but I do have pics of the gold book here.

They should send this book on a tour of schools. Kids would just freak for this. Very fun.

I just started reading Hurricane Gold last night. What's amazing is, when I put the book down before going to sleep, I looked at its gold colour and wondered if it would feasible to make an actual copy out of the prized metal (though I pictured it with thin, gold pages with the words impressed into them). Thanks to Zen's post, I now know that it's possible - and now all of you know the pointless things that cross my mind before I go to bed.

Despite a lot of efforts, the CBn team unfortunately couldn't manage to obtain a giveaway copy of this for a possible competition. Not even a review copy. Such a shame.

Report on the day with some pics of Charlie and Theo Fennell at the event. (I'm also told some video is coming down the pike.)

I was just thinking that Dark. I was very gobsmacked when I saw it at FYEO. I wonder where is will end up? Small change for IFP this book must be. B)
