Am currently reading John Pearson's superb JAMES BOND: THE AUTHORISED BIOGRAPHY. Having only read SILVERFIN, and having done so a long time ago, I'm wondering whether Higson takes anything from Pearson. Or does he ignore Pearson entirely?
Does Higson follow Pearson?

I'm not a Young Bond expert but I remember Higson saying he only went off the Fleming books when writing therefore ignoring Pearson, Amis, Gardner and Benson. Going off Fleming's messed up timeline, Higson and IFP agreed on a birthdate for Bond.

Yeah, it's Fleming all the way for the Higson series.
