Hello everyone.. I figured it has been a while since you have all heard anything about the original music i composed for Harmsway's story, "Twilight Of Danger". Well, i thought that i would give you all a tiny taste of the 40 some odd minutes of music i have done by presenting you with the Gunbarrel music for download. The cue isn't very long, just long enough to wet your appetites. It is attatched to this message inside the zip. According to Dave, the full score should be released within the next couple of weeks right here on CBN, complete with some very nice cover art by Mr. Asterix. Thanks for your patience. Enjoy!

Bravo! Three cheers, thats one of the best gunbarrel's I've heard, much better use of techno then Serra's gunbarrel.

Hahahaha hey that's cool man!!! How did you produce the music? Special programs on the computer or do you have a special keyboard that hooks in? I'm asking partly because its so damn clear and crisp. I like it! Thinking about considering the role of composer once David Arnold quits?

I'm glad you all like it!! The only equiptment i used for the entire score was a drum loops program (for some of the action pieces), an alesis QS 6.1 synthesizer (for the orchestral elements, like the gunbarrel), and Cool Edit Pro to record the cues. The whole score has alot of asian influences since the film idea that Harm came up with takes place in the far east (hear that koto in the gunbarrel?). For those of you that did not see the track list for TOD over at CMGN here it is once again:

1. Logos (:18)
2. Gunbarrel* / Thieves / Lab (3:26)
3. Main Title : Twilight of Danger (2:16)
4. Records Office Break-In* (1:59)
5. Torture (2:08)
6. Car Chase Through Beijing * + (3:29)
7. Casino Arrival * (1:04)
8. Card Sharks (1:28)
9. Journey To Kuala Lumpur / "The Name's Bond" * (3:18)
10. Beneath Thorn's Chateau (1:28)
11. Sharp Escape + (3:06)
12. Hokkaido Ski Montage (1:02)
13. Stuck By A Thorn * (2:11)
14. Bond Smells A Rat (1:46)
15. Into The Castle * / All In A Days Work ++ (4:17)
16. End Titles - Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang TOD Remix (2:23)
17. BONUS - Gunbarrel W/ Gunshot (:21)
18. BONUS - Deadly Lounging: Ambient Casino Music (2:00)

* - contains portions of "The James Bond Theme"
+ - contains portions of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"
++ - Contains portions of "007"

So there you have it, Dave is going to post TOD when CBN goes back up soon.

Well I can't wait to hear the rest of the score! I don't only collect Bond soundtracks but soundtracks in general. That's the kind of music I listen to. So, I'll be anticipating it!

Near 500? Damn! You're way past me! hahahahaha. I've got enough that its almost over-flowing my cd case lol. The first like... 4 pages I think are all my Bond CD's. After that, I kinda follow into some strange order. I think it goes into Mission: Impossible 2 (I haven't got the 1st one yet but plan to) and then after that is all the CD's I have (currently) by Hans Zimmer (since he did M:I-2) and then I dunno its weird to explain. But, I just bought 3 new ones last week or week before last -- Star Wars Episode II (excellent), Spiderman (pretty good, I like Danny Elfman) and Lord Of The Rings (also good). Anyway, yeah. I find better peace listening to my soundtracks than I do to any of the wide varieties of garbage on the radio or MTV.

I hope some criticism is allowed:)
I think that the Flanger you added to the music is a bit too much.
I also miss the classic da-da-dum like the one from Octopussy.

I don't know what you're talking about. The Da-da-dum is there, but just synthesised. In my opinion, it would be a good Die Another Day gunbarrel if preformed with full orchestra. It's got the same layout as the Barry gunbarrels, but has its own unique sound.

A great piece of music. I was surprised of how real it sounded. It sounded like it was done in a studio or where ever they make that kind of music.

I eagerly await for the rest to come, and it surely wet my appetite.

BTW, I also prefer to listen to soundtracks as opposed to the other kinds of music out there. Apart from James Bond soundtracks my favourites include Entrapment, Con Air, The Fugitive, and Air Force One.

thanks Dort!
Christopher Young, Trevor Rabin / Mark Mancina, James Newton Howard, and of course Jerry Goldsmith, all great composers. I love all those scores too. I just know you all are going to love the rest of TOD, it's got the John Barry orchestral bond flair we all know and love, as well as some of the new token David Arnold electronics.

Dude! That's a really cool theme that you made. You should be the next composer after David Arnold. All that mixed in techno...

The flanger should be toned down a little but apart from that it's excellent!

Dunphboy, did you post anymore or not?

Dude, is this soundtrack going to be available to purchase?? That music is pretty damn good for only using a computer. I can't say I exactly have time to download the entire CD off of CBN and record it to a CD. Lemme know. Keep up the great work.

Oh, and John Williams is damn good as well. Anyone listen to the score to MINORITY REPORT yet?
