I've just realised that there is two commentary's listed, we know one is a crew commentary, what is the other? Is it a directors commentary?

Very likely, didn't Campbell himself say he'd recorded one a while ago? (And no doubt Michael G. Wilson will get in on it too :; )

lol, Probably. I'd rather have a Craig/Green one and a Campbell/Wilson one.

Maybe Sony will learn from this and put out a decent DVD for Quantum of Solace the first time around.

Don't get your hopes up. This is the predictable pattern that's been going on for nearly a decade with all sorts of distribution companies. Don't get me wrong, it would be great, but I wouldn't count on it.

Just exercise patience.

Sony will "learn" not to do something which makes them a lot of money?

Yes this does look like a pretty set but I will only buy this if the movie is the PG-13 U. S. theatrical cut like the Region 3 got last time otherwise I won't get it, I will just rent it for the special features. Did anyone notice that the list price for this set is only 29.95 which is the same list price as a single disc DVD of a new movie and is only 3 dollars more than the Indiana Jones single disc Special Edition's that were released in may which means it will probably go for 13-15 dollars on sale which would be a steal for a 3 disc set and if you subtract the amount of the Quantum of Solace ticket you would actually be paying about 8-10 dollars (if you were already planning on buying this set and going to see QoS).

I'm definitely hoping for at least a commentary with Campbell and Wilson. The one they did together for GoldenEye is one of the best, in my opinion.

I like the teaser artwork this time around. Almost makes me paying twice for it not sting so much.

The set looks excellent. I love how they used the teaser poster as the cover. It is definately the nicest looking set we've ever received for a Bond film.

I only have one doubt (or complain). Where's the trailers in this new collector's edition of Casino Royale??

I think we may bet a Quantum of Solace trailer on the release. Like the KOTCS trailer on the new Indy release.

Maybe those will still be included on there.

We still haven't gotten a more indepth listing of what all of these special features are and how long they each run for. Sometimes the trailers and TV spots don't even appear on these types of list, but still make it onto the DVD.

The embossed cover of the CR DVD is awesome! And the flip case is really nice! I bought it last year and it really worthed its money! I want the same for QoS!

I stil think the teaser poster was/is superior to the theatrical release poster.

I'm taking my copy of CR to trade it in for some store credit (as well as the "old" Special Edition James Bond DVD's). Word on the street is that the future Mrs. Robinson (koo-koo-kachoo) is getting me that ultimate collection that came out last year.

There are trailers & TV spots on every other DVD so I'm sure they will have them. When marketing something like this, only the die hard fans want stuff like that so no real need to put them on an early feature list. Most people are satisfied with the behind the scenes featurettes & maybe a commentary track. Besides, if they left the trailers off again, it would be a crime of unimaginable proportions.

I also fear the worst. Sony's recent special editions I've bought all make a point of not including the trailers. At the very least we should have both trailers and the QOS teaser!

They're leaving off the trailers because they have to hold something back for the triple dip release.

Seriously, I love the CR trailers and will watch trailers over and over again. That was one of the first features I went for on the SEs years ago whenever I opened a new one.

Casino Royale Triples Investment
Rumor has it this release will (finally) see the light of day.
by David McCutcheon
August 7, 2008 - It looks like James Bond was quite shaken to be delayed for the longest of times, but Sony is stirring things up with an October 21, 2008 three-disc release of Casino Royale, the hit James Bond flick starring the latest Bond, Daniel Craig. First report at mi6.co.uk, the special features have even been confirmed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, meaning the rumor is, as MC Hammer would say, too legit to quit. The DVD set will run for the MSRP of $29.95, while the Blu-ray high definition set will hit shelves for the MSRP of $38.96.

The Casino Royale (Three-Disc DVD will feature the following bonus materials:

Becoming Bond documentary

James Bond: For Real Documentary

Bond Girls are Forever (2006)

Chris Cornell Music Video

The Road to Casino Royale

Crew Commentary

Deleted Scenes

Paying Taxes

Rescue & Recovery

Old Boyfriend?

James Bond in the Bahamas

The Art of the Freerun

Death in Venice

Catching a Plane: From Storyboard to Screen

Filmmaker Profiles

Storyboard Sequence: Freerun Chase

Ian Fleming: The Secret Road to Paradise

Box art is unavailable. Stay tuned to IGN DVD for more information about this and other upcoming releases!

Are the deleted scenes actually:

Paying Taxes

Rescue & Recovery

Old Boyfriend?

or are these just featurettes?
