A lot of people usually say EON is the most cinematic original Bond game. But if you could change things about it to make it more movie-friendly, what would you do? Would you change the locations? Tone down the gadgets? Alter the plot (and how would you do that)? Any ideas you have.

Discuss.

Get rid of the MI6 training part.

Agreed, other than that. I wouldn't change anything about it, It's perfect the way it is, especially for a Brosnan Bond.

Can anyone tell me if there are any "slower" parts to EON, you know, like parts where Bond is in his tux at a casino, or lounging around at a resort, etc.?

As it's a third person shooter. The answer is no.

Well, first of all, I would have made it a Roger Moore film back in 1985 instead of "A View To a Kill" (which would call for the omission of any Zorin references).

Second, I'd replace Mya with Sade and task her with performing the title song.

Next, I'd have gotten Lynda Carter to play Serena St. Germaine. It's a shame that the very person who played WONDER WOMAN never got to be a Bond girl. :D

Also, I'd replace some of the more modern technology/automobiles with things that would have existed back then. For example, instead of the Aston, Bond would drive his Lotus. Also, instead of the Subaru rally race, Bond would drive a Saab 900 Turbo (as a nod to the John Gardner novels).

Very importantly, I'd have killed off Jaws. Definitively. We'd finally see him in a situation from which he couldn't possibly escape.

Ultimately, I'd cut down on some of the action as there was a bit too much of it and not enough story. I'd also go the "NSNA" route and emphasize Bond's age a bit more.

What would you do, ACE?

I haven't played the game in a while, actually. Can anyone post a more thorough synopsis than the brief one they have on Wikipedia? I already know a few things I'd do ... but I want to make sure I have the facts straight so it's right.

What to change about EON.

Get rid of the MI6 training level.
Get rid of Q.
Get rid of most of the gadgets.
Tone down some of the action/effects.
Get rid of Jaws.
Hire better actresses than Shannon Elizabeth, Heide Klum, and Mya.
Cast Daniel Craig as Bond.

Oh, and hire Haggis to rewrite the script.

Very funny, ACE! :P :D :D

But if you're really interested:

ROGER MOORE is IAN FLEMING's JAMES BOND 007 in
EVERYTHING or NOTHING
(1985)

The gunbarrel opens up on a large shot of the moon, and then pans down to the mountains of Tajikistan where an arms trade is about to take place. The merchandise is a nuclear suitcase-bomb that was stolen from a stockpile of old Soviet Union weapons. James Bond is tasked with making sure that the trade is not completed. As the respective leaders of the two sides prepare to make the exchange, Bond sets off a stockpile of old rockets nearby, which causes both sides to think that they’ve been tricked. A bloody shootout ensues during which the suitcase-bomb is lost and eventually recovered by Bond. The Russian leader tries to flee, but Bond manages to grapple up a nearby wall onto a balcony and uses a rocket launcher to down the Russian’s personal jet. Once Bond completes the mission, he is extracted by a helicopter outside of the military base.

Cut to opening titles, sung by Sade.

Back in London, 007 shares the usual pleasantries with Miss Moneypenney and his then briefed by M and the Ministry of Defense for his next mission. Bond learns that a Russian female scientist, named Dr. Katya Nadanova, of the Oxford Department of nanotechnology was kidnapped by a terrorist cell and taken to their headquarters in southern Egypt. Her invention, a new kind of nanotechnology used to enter electrical wires and repair damage at microscopic level, is also stolen. James Bond is once again called in to action, but not before he is issued new field equipment by Q: a gadget-packed Land Rover as well as the newest in rappel gun technology.

Egypt – Bond sneaks into the terrorist cell’s weapons laps and destroys the stolen technology with a timed detonator. Then, on motorbike, Bond pursues the terrorist’s train and boards it from its underside; as the train crosses a bridge, there is an open space between both rails. Aboard, Bond stealthily and efficiently disposes of every henchman he comes across. Bond has a confrontation with his old enemy: Jaws. The two fight, but Bond ultimately wins after electrocuting the assassin. Arriving at an helipad-vagon, Bond sees Nadanova handcuffed to the vagon. The general escapes by helicopter with the nano-technology and blows up a bridge, putting Bond and Nadanova into a trap. But there's still a spare helicopter parked nearby, so they manage to escape before the train falls down the valley. They fly through the Valley of the Kings until Bond finally shoots the general down, destroying the nano prototypes. Bond drops Katya off at a nearby military complex and receives a tender kiss of gratitude from the scientist, although unbeknownst to Bond, Katya meets with a Russian ex-KGB special officer turned businessman, named Nikolai Diavolo. During the meeting, Katya delivers a small vial containing the few remaining nanorobots to Diavolo. Diavolo says that with them, he will get “everything…or nothing at all.” In the next shot, it is learned that Jaws, in typical fashion, survived the train crash.

Later, Bond is again briefed by M at MI6 Headquarters in Scotland. There, he learns that MI6 has lost contact with 003, who was sent to investigate the ex-KGB terrorist Nikolai Diavolo in western Morocco. Before leaving, Bond meets Q’s new assistant Miss Nagai and receives a remote-controlled “spider-cam,” as well as a new heat-packing motorcycle from her.

Bond is sent to a town on the Northwestern Peruvian coastline, located high above the Pacific Ocean on a series of cliffs. Bond learns that 003's last contact was with an American geologist named Serena St. Germaine. He arrives at St. Germaine’s cottage and finds her absent, but picks up her home phone when it rings. It’s Serena, who thinks that the man on the other end is a man named ‘Jack.’ She tells him to meet her at the Hotel Americano...and to watch out for the local police. As Bond makes his way through the roads of Morocco, he notices a roadblock of military vehicles up ahead. To create a distraction, Bond sends the RC car out from the Land Rover to detonate in a nearby fireworks factory. They meet and they ride to the mining complex near ancient Incan ruins. However, on there way they are discovered and attacked by the local police. Bond is forced to employ one of the Land Rover’s “optional extras” by engaging a bulletproof cocoon that forms over the whole of the car’s body. Losing control of the car, Bond steers the Land Rover off a cliff and ends up plummeting hundreds of feet down to the coastal waters below, but not before popping a raft out from underneath the car so that it can drive in the shallow waters. Bond and Serena land (albeit a bit roughly), reach the shore and make it to the mining facilities, where James instructs Serena to wait for him.

As he sneaks around the facility, Bond employs the Q Spider to locate 003’s whereabouts. Bond soon discovers that 003 had been violently tortured by Nikolai Diavolo. Bond makes himself known to Diavolo and after shooting 003, Diavolo orders the guards to chase him through the mining complex and ruins. When Bond reaches 003 he tells Bond that Diavolo sets his plans in New Orleans but dies shortly afterwards. Dejectedly, Bond shuts the eyelids of his former cohort.

At the end of the mining tunnels, Bond reaches a cliff where a helicopter appears with Katya Nadanova in it, holding Serena over the edge. She throws Serena out of the copter, and Bond dives off the cliff after her. Dodging obstacles, he finally catches Serena and fires a grappling hook into the cliff wall.

BOND: “Nice catching up with you!”

After escaping in a tank and returning to the town, Bond and Serena are met with military forces that are being paid off by Diavolo to protect him. Bond quickly returns Serena to 003's hidden cottage in the dense forest, and goes on to reach the extraction point. Bond drives 003's motorcycle into a moving plane just as the military catches up with him.

Back at MI6, Bond is given an ultra-advanced “stealth suit” by Q, which renders its wearer virtually invisible; however, its effect is broken with sudden movements. Bond is also handed the keys to his old Lotus Esprit Turbo (from FYEO) which has been modified with a new, “acid slick” feature.

While driving the Lotus, Bond views a live video feed of M briefing him on the remainder of his mission. Apparently, MI6 had learned that Diavolo had employed an Interpol-sought war criminal named Arkady Yayakov. Yayakov secretly owns a night club in New Orleans along with the local crime ring. Bond goes to New Orleans during Mardi Gras and speaks to Agent Starling secretly over a public payphone, learning that Yayakov’s head driver is eating at a local gumbo diner where Bond can steal his truck and infiltrate Yayakov’s warehouse. Bond makes his way to the diner, opens the rear hatch of the driver’s truck, parks the Lotus inside, and then heads for the warehouse. Inside, he learns Yayakov is planning on killing Starling that night, for which Diavolo will later have Yakakov killed. To discover the name of this said club, Bond follows Diavolo’s man across town, uses the Lotus’ electromagnetic charge feature to “decommission” the driver’s limo, and then forces the information out of him.

At the night club, Bond happens upon a toweled but otherwise naked beautiful Russian girl who mistakes him for her masseuse. Bond enters the dim, candlelit area and plays along, scoping out the doorways/entrances to the luxurious room in the process. After she asks Bond to get her a drink, Bond disappears, following the sound of music that he knows must be Sade. But chaos erupts when Bond enters the main lounge of the club and Agent Starling's cover is blown. Yayakov kidnaps the NSA agent and leaves the club. Bond fights the thugs and chases Yayakov through an underground tunnel system that was used to traffic drugs and such like. Outside, a storm is brewing, with claps of thunder and flashes of lightning left and right. Yayakov, Starling and Bond arrive in a gigantic 19th century graveyard. Then, Yayakov hands over Agent Starling to Jean Le Rouge, a local mobster. Le Rouge and Bond run through the graveyard until they reach a crematorium where they have their final fight. There, Le Rouge has shackled Sade along a moving gurney headed towards the open flames of the cremator. But Bond ultimately kills Le Rouge by shooting a bullet that ricochets off a propane tank and lands in the back of Le Rouge’s skull. After unshackling Starling, Bond returns her to her apartment. Sade welcomes Bond up to her apartment as a sign of...“gratitude.”

The next day, Bond is sent to a remote area further north outside of New Orleans. He tests out the “stealth suit” given to him from Q, by infiltrating a secret lab inside an old, run-down plantation. Here, Bond discovers that Diavolo is using Yayakov to manipulate the purpose of Dr. Nadanova's microtechnology. They have managed to create a brand new weapon of mass destruction: nanobots, infused with a natural chemical compound found only in the bayous of Louisiana, which literally eats away at all kinds of metal - save for platinum.

Bond destroys the production mechanisms in Yayakove’s lab, also killing Yatakov in the process, but as 007 flees the building, Jaws suddenly appears and smashes through the old plantation, driving a platinum tanker truck filled with the metal-eating nanobots. Jaws' orders are to crash the truck into the levees that surround New Orleans and let the nanobots go to work destroying the levees, thus flooding New Orleans. Bond hops onto his motorcycle at dusk and chases Jaws across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway and uses his flamethrowers to melt Jaw's tires, making the truck slide off the bridge and into the lake below.

Later, MI6 learns that the operation in New Orleans was meant to be a test run for the metal-eating nanobots. James Bond returns to Morocco to investigate what Diavolo plans to do with his new weapon. With the help of Serena St. Germaine, Bond infiltrates Diavolo's personal estate, steals a racing uniform from a closet and covertly enters himself in a Saab rally car race. The reward for coming in at first place is dinner with Diavolo. Naturally, Bond wins. At the finish line, Serena leaps into Bond’s arm and gives him a celebratory kiss as a reward. An hour or so later, Bond and Serena, respectively clad in a fresh new tuxedo and striking purple dress, arrive at Diavolo’s personal estate.

Inside, it is learned that Diavolo has already caught on to Bond's sleuthing around and has both Bond and Serena captured. Bond breaks loose and manages to rescue Serena, killing a large number of Diavolo's henchmen in the process. Back together, Bond and Serena escape through the front door only to find the Land Rover surrounded by a trio of Moroccan tanks. Seemingly outgunned and outnumbered, Bond detonates the Land Rover. The two then jump into Bond’s victory rally car Saab and get away, speeding through town. Bond wants to see Diavolo's platinum mines first-hand so he steers the Saab across the rooftops of the town and traverse through several massive waterfalls to enter the mines at the outskirts.

Once inside, he is tranquilized by Nadanova and shackled to a table in front of a large, menacing black drill. Diavolo tells Bond that he plans on using his metal-eating WMD's to destroy those who weakened his Soviet homeland.

DIAVOLO: “My platinum army is unstoppable, Mr. Bond! These nanotech weapons will destroy any metal they touch. And it appears the only weapon you have left...is sarcasm.”

Bond manages to escape both the trap and the mine, destroying it in the process. Leaping through a hole in the rock where Serena is waiting in a helicopter, he gets on board just as the entrance is destroyed.

Now in Russia, Diavolo has started his Platinum War. From a secret bunker, Diavolo orders the second wave of attacks with Nadanova and Jaws at his side. He plans to use his platinum army to break through the Kremlin and release toxic gas inside. Bond knocks out one of Diavolo's soldiers and hijacks a tank. He arrives at Red Square where numerous tanks are occupying the Square. After taking down a significant number of Diavolo's ground forces, Bond breaks into man-made caverns under the Red Square and manages to destroy the canisters with the toxic gas. Afterwards he weakens the columns that support the Red Square. He returns to the surface, shrouded in a thick gray fog, to deal with the last of Diavolo's tanks. By using his nanobot missiles on a helicopter carrying a statue of Diavolo, he manages to defeat all of the remaining tanks.

After foiling Diavalo's plan, Bond finds out that there is a decommissioned nuclear bunker under the Kremlin, and there, Diavolo has replaced the nuclear warheads on the missiles with payloads of his metal-eating microtechnology.

After Bond rappels down a large elevator shaft filled with moving lasers, he finds Nadanova and Jaws waiting for him at the surface. In a vain attempt to escape, Bond leaps for a nearby Soviet fighter, but Nadanova has one of her henchmen fire at it, blowing it to pieces. After Nadanova orders her henchmen to kill Bond, 007 disables the elevator brakes and the elevator goes dropping down the shaft. All of a sudden, Jaws attacks Bond by using a flamethrower, but James disables it by shooting at Jaws’ backpack. James escapes by getting into the pilot seat of the burned out jet and ejecting up the elevator shaft. As the damaged elevator tumbles and explodes down the shaft presumably taking Jaws with it, Bond’s parachute unfurls and he manages to safely grab hold of the walls of the elevator shaft.

Once in the lower levels of the bunker, Bond manages to deactivate all the missiles in the control room. While returning to the surface, Diavolo and Nadanova attack Bond in an old Yak-38 VTOL jet. Bond shoots it down, it lands on the elevator platform, and the leaking nanobots dissolve the platform, causing the plane to fall to the bottom of the shaft. The aircraft explodes, killing Nadanova, but Diavolo ejects just in time, without Bond noticing. Bond soon realizes that Diavolo is not dead when a manual override takes over the bunker.

Diavolo beats Bond to one final missile and begins to launch it manually, targeting London. After fighting his way through Diavolo's army of men, Bond makes it to the launch pad. There Bond kills Diavolo, firing a rocket at Diavolo's control hub. Before dying, Diavolo manages to press the launch button and is thrust into the missile silo just as the missile takes off. Bond fires three more rockets at the lone missile loaded with the microtechnology, and it explodes in a huge fireball over Moscow.

Now, what WOULD you change, ACE? :D
