In December 2005, Brosnan was reported to be attached to star in The November Man, an adaption of Bill Grainger's novel, There Are No Spies, but the project was cancelled in 2007.

Ouch!
Mr. Brosnan's non Bond efforts are sure not doing too well. I noticed the only non Bond film he has ever made that topped $100million was Mrs Doubtfire, and that was a Robin Williams movie!
His closest 2 are Thomas Crowne and Dantes Peak both at about $69million US.

And to add insult to injury, it looks like Butterfly on a wheel, now with the generic title of 'Shattered', will be heading straight to DVD!
Still, he has Mamma Mia out next year, which will probably do decently at the box office (Assuming its not a total disaster). I do want to see the guy in more movies, but the reality of the business is that if you don't bring in the box office, they're going to hire someone else who does.
And how long has this proposed Thomas Crown sequel been in development? I think there was a press release about it in 2005, and yet nothing has happened since then. I dunno, is the studio really keen on making a sequel to a movie that made $69 million?

Really? Shame. I was really looking forward to that one. Will have to rent it perhaps.

G'day All and thanks for your replies and news disappointing non the less, Don't get me wrong im happy to have our new Bond in Daniel Graig but to see Brosnan in another spy film again would be worth the wait. Lets hope he gets the musicals out of his system before he shows his age. I suppose the movie Spy Vs Stu won't be made either. thanks again
Oh yes, Spy vs Stu, I remember that, he says with a
Also wasn't there some project with Brosnan playing an older poker pro showing a rookie the ropes? I bet that went belly-up after LUCKY YOU tanked. Other than Mamma Mia, the only other project of his that seems to be going anywhere is 'Caitlin', the Dylan Thomas biopic, and that will be arthouse fare. He also has 'Married Life' awaiting release, it sounds pretty low-key and looks like he has a supporting role, or its an ensemble kind of film (it shows at the Toronto film fest next month, so again, looks like this is an arthouse kind of thing).
Still, I'm not here to be all doom and gloom, he will continue to get work of course, and is still a "name", but I think the days of him being an A-list leading man ended with DIE ANOTHER DAY.

Dominic Cooper On For November Man
He'll co-star with Pierce Brosnan
Pierce Brosnan just can’t let go of the espionage world. One particular passion project – November Man – is now looking like it’ll make it through the obstacle course of development and actually start shooting, with Roger Donaldson directing and Dominic Cooper co-starring.
November Man was adapted from Bill Granger’s novel There Are No Spies by Michael Finch and Karl Gajdusek. It finds a former CIA operative (Brosnan) dragged back into the spy game for a very personal mission, one which pits him against a former apprentice (Cooper), high-level CIA officials and the Russian political system. Granger’s books follow the same character through several adventures, so there’s fodder for a franchise should this one take off.
"November Man has been a labour of love for both me and my company," Brosnan said. "I'm looking forward to working with The Solution and reuniting with both Roger and Dominic as we prepare to make a great film." He’s referring to the fact that he shot Dante’s Peak with the director and co-starred with Cooper on Mamma Mia. There should be no signing and a lower chance of volcanoes this time around.
Donaldson is set to shoot this October in Berlin.
