It's nice to get the vibe flowing again and some of the last weeks events and conversations (including Joyce and I watching the sun come up after talking all night - thanks luv!) have certainly lent themselves to the process.

You're quite welcome dear. That night was indeed memorable and quite inspiring for me too, as I work on Joyce's third outing.

Still very excited to see you finally doing this and I'd be quite happy to proofread should you want me to. :cooltongue:

*exhales*

Well, Chapter ten is complete. Time for a review and a break, but not to worry, work continues.

Chapter 11 "Tiny Bubbles" will bring 003 to Hawaii and the island of Maui.

The roof to roof foot chase in Madrid is a bit of fun but also somewhat brutal. I may need to edit it a little.

The NSA assistant looked at the image on the screen in disbelief. Had that actually happened in 'real time'? Her Chief, standing behind her, spoke firmly, "Who the Hell is this guy?"

She muttered still entranced by the screen, "Bryce. John Bryce. He's MI6. One of their 'Double-O's' "

The station chief stared and then leaned over her shoulder shocked at what had just been transmitted via the satellite. "Oh my God."

Bryce and the man crashed through the domed atrium falling nearly five meters to the lobby below.

Thanks for the praise everyone.

Chapters 1-7 have been reviewed.

I won't set up the scene, but I will give you the line that ends Chapter 2: "It's 'Chinatown' Matt"

Both men stood over the figure barely stirring in the trash heap. They looked to each other and spoke in unison, "He should have ducked."

"That wasn't bad." 004 smiled.

"Not too good either.", Bryce glanced at the wallet he had retrieved. There'd be some answers and, most importantly, someone who would answer for the actions that had taken place.

They strolled towards the Lagonda as Bryce lit a cigarette.

004 (in the sureal world) drives a 1990 Aston Martin Lagonda sedan. It's a "merlot red" and has a beige interior...along with some "Optional extras".

They are beautiful cars.

Great pic!

Brought a tear to 004's eye.

Yes, although the one there looks a bit more pink, that is EXACTLY 004's car.

It's got one very exclusive refinement that rivals the Lotus from TSWLM. Not a submersible but actually a hydrofoil conversion. 004's personal "best time" was 47 minutes crossing the Channel from Calais to Dover. No....Really.

BOT - Editing and cleaning up of some of the narrative continues....

But, well...

DAMN I'm good. :D

I'm revising parts of the outline that remains, but Chapter 21 "All is not Lost" will put a smile on people's face. Chapter 23, the last one, has now been titled "No Regrets".

Also, speaking with Flicka yesterday and telling her of what I've been doing with this, she suggested a few days in Maui "strictly for research purposes" might be a good idea.

We're looking at our schedules and fares. :cooltongue:

Gotta love a kick-butt spy chick who likes to travel.

"Mister Bryce,", the girl paused, "don't believe that I don't know what you're capable of...and No, you may not have a cigarette. Put down the lighter."

She kept the automatic steady. Bryce set the lighter down slowly on the table and stepped back. As she moved towards him, the lighter vibrated like a pager. Her eyes shifted.

In one combined movement, Bryce chopped at her arm sending the pistol to the floor and then cracked her across the jaw with the back of his left hand. As the force of the blow spun her, he grabbed her by the hair and, wrenching her left arm behind her back, slammed her head face first against the wall.

Her body went slack after the muffled cry of pain and she slumped in a heap at his feet.

"That second-hand smoke is a killer."

Bryce, you may have to also include suspense as a killer, as the suspense, waiting for your completed work, is surely taking its toll on us all as we eagerly await the completed work! :cooltongue:

Thank you for the praise good sirs and ladies.

*half bow*

My target date is to have it go up on November 11th - Bond's Birthday - and two weeks before my "March into the fourth decade". :cooltongue:

If all goes well, things should wrap up by the end of the month.

*mental note - contact Mr. Asterix re: cover art*

Actually, that's been a bit of fun. I've done a few pics that I want to be the basis for it. The back cover might just show a few items, locales, elements i.e Madrid skyline, nose of the Jag, decanter of scotch, the Browning, drifting smoke. I'm still scheming it up, but have been having some fun with concepts.

Onward.

Thanks again for all the praise.

November will be a great time to get the latest Bryce adventure. That is the mid-point between Bond movie releases and by then we should know when the next DTBB date is.

I'm looking forward to it!

We aim to please.

The revision work continues and is keeping my mind occupied from other things.

Flicka and I are still debating a "location scouting" trip though. Just sayin', but it may become a reality.

Flicka and I in the islands?

What could go wro....

*thinks, shakes head*

I REALLY need to stop saying that. :cooltongue:

The outlining of the next ten chapters is almost complete though.

Chapter 15 "Plunge into Hell" is something that, if storyboarded for the second-unit, might make Vic Armstrong or the late, great Bob Simmons smile though.

Onward!
