James Bond's world is on the verge of collapse...
A French Canadian psycho, an evil Russian gangster, a former heavyweight boxer, all stand in the way of Bond.
A faithful companion, a new friend, an old work collegue, all in danger...
MI6, CIA, KGB, all set to be destroyed...
When news leaks out of a former KGB agent wanting to destroy all secret services, agents 007 and 008 are sent to investigate. 007, a ladies man with plenty of confidence and skill. 008, a shy person,a newly recruited 00-agent. These two unlikely partners are sent to stop one of the most powerful men in the world, at the drop of a hat. One must go undercover, one must infiltrate a gangsters 'palace'. When the terrorist strikes, the whole world comes to a standstill...

Original story by Eliott Brinkworth, with help from Fraser Lomas and you guys at CBN

The one that'll go with the book. Surely you've seen the ones that Mr.* did for the other fanfics?

<<Discussion for 'Never Say Die'>>

Nicely Done Carver. Quick, fun and yes a nice "feel" of Bond.

I'm anxious to know what was so important that two double-o's were sent to retrieve it.

Good show!

I'm afraid that all the chapters are like that BTW:(. Well, i never really decided what was so important about the info, but lets just say that the building was so heavily guarded, that one agent went to retrieve the info, and the other stood watch outside:)

The secret info involved assassination attempts at World leaders, and terrorist groups who plan attcks, stuff like that:)

Ahh, "a contemporary thriller ripped from the headlines" eh?

A tip: Fleming always relied on detail and luxury. Bond fiction always shares some history or facts with the reader. Some of the geneolgy stuff in OHMSS is kind of interesting.

Keep up the good work...hey, this is a real Hollywood screen writer talking (okay, typing). Fun is fun. Which is EXACTLY what fan fiction should be.

Have a martini....or at least a good pint;)

Thank you Bryce, I have got some history later on in the story, involving Felix Leiter, and Bond girls, so I'll try and be more descriptive about things, like you mentioned with Fleming.

I like this too, I wonder if we'll see Carver returning any time in the future to CBn, it's been such a long time.

Regarding the piece itself, I love the fast, brisk pace of it, nicely done on the overall pace Carver. It's a fast read, but it doesn't let up until you finish it.

Nope. I've spoken to him on Messenger awhile back and he says that he stopped visiting both the CBn and MI6 forums. And he also said he deleted all of his fanfic. Shame, really.

Although I think I've seen him pop in on the boards once or twice every few months.

Not wishing to intrude too much, but did he say why he deleted it? That's really too bad.

I saw him pop on very briefly quite a few months ago.

No, he didin't say specifically why, other than he was getting bored with it and the forums.

I'd rather not say much more, as a matter of respect for Carver. :)

A pity he never finished it. I was looking forward to reading the rest of it.

Here's the cover he asked me to do for it a couple years go.

Very excellent work on that cover PaulZ108!

This is really quite a shame, it seems like there are quite a few fans that were looking forward to this story.

I can cross this one off the list then. I was going around and seeing if i could ressurrect any of the old pieces that aren't up anymore for the FFRC to have a look at.
