In the U.S. the LARGE PRINT edition is shipping very soon -- it's full price on Amazon.com but discounted 20% on BN.com. I'll post a cover pic when I get it.

It worked at the other site when I did it.
I am sure it is my fault, I have not got a clue about computers.
Again I apologize, things hardly ever go right for me.
Sorry to dissapoint you James, but it was already out in shops. I saw it in my local bookshop a week before it was supposed to come out and had to resist the urge to buy it. I already have the hardback copy which I got from Amazon several days before its official release date.
Oh well... Not that it realy matters as the hardback has been out for yonks.
But I think I'll be sticking with them for future releases as the P&P is only

You're right. The knife is much redder. The color on the scan is accurate. The spine, back, and d/j flaps are also quite different from the standard edition.Blue Eyes (05 Dec, 2001 02:52 a.m.):
Shame there. In my head the knife looks a little redder, but it may just be the different scans I've seen.

I didn't think is was that obvious. I assumed a more technical answer.Blue Eyes (05 Dec, 2001 03:37 a.m.):
I can only answer one question in there. A Large Print edition is an edition with large print It's for the visually impared so they can read the book as it doesn't have a small font. It's usually a fair bit larger.

Why are they usually released before standard paperbacks?
I heard they are called "trade paperbacks". Is that true?

It's a shame when they don't make use of the covers properly. There's such a big opportunity missed and it's upsetting.

No, there sure isn't. Too bad. I like it when the large print editions do their own cover art.Blue Eyes (05 Dec, 2001 02:27 a.m.):
There's not much of a cover difference is there Zencat between that and the US standard edition?
