I jump at both those times too, dinovelvet. Plus when Bond starts plowing through with the bulldoser.

I jumped at the balcony scene. If I hadn't seen the preview clips the bulldozer would have probably got me, too. Just like the tank busting through the wall in GE did on first sight. As for Mr White capping Le Chiffre, that whole scene would have been a shock if not for the book.

There was this 45 year-old mom with her husband behind me and Exar Kun who screamed four times! Those first two that was mentioned in the first post, Bond coming through with the bulldozer, and when Bond came up and shot the guy when he was chasing after Vesper. At the fourth time, Kun and I were counting..5..4..3..2..1.. 
! However, I did jump when the mid kiss happened, (I still jump everytime I see it. 3 times now!) and when Mr. White got shot.

I'm not sure, but I might have jumped a bit, after Valenka and Le Chiffre kissed on the balcony, and out of nowhere jumps these two goons.
Although, what I might have thought before seeing the movie, the torture sequence didn't make me jump at all. It was funny actually.
The second time I saw the movie, almost the whole movie audience bursted in laughter. Daniel played that scene so well. Remaining cool, and making it look like fun. Hmmm...maybe I should test how jokey I would be, if someone were beating my nuts.

The first time I saw the movie: I'll admit I jumped when Le Chiffre was attacked and when Bond shot Mr. White in the leg.
The second time I saw the movie: I smirked as my friend and the senior citizens in the row behind me jumped at the same two moments.
