Never Dream of Dying has now been released in the UK! I have already ordered my copy via Amazon, and should get it in about a day or two. I'll upload a review as soon as I've read it!

It would seem about time for it. Do you intend to pre-order it Zencat?

A new hardcover edition of NEVER DREAM OF DYING has just appeared on Amazon.com. It shows a November 2001 release date. My guess is this is the large print edition.

Got it. Read it. It's Benson's BEST book so far. Certainly his most cinematic. I thought Benson may have peaked w/ HIGH TIME TO KILL (no pun intended), but he proved me wrong.

Re the cover art. I posted a new board on this topic because I do think the change in the UK design is controversial. I wonder if they'll stick with it?

I just wish they'd hurry up and release it elsewhere. Especially in this little country no one has heard of called Australia :)

What jacket cover will you be able to get? The American or British? The British ones are much better than the US ones! Always when it comes to the Bond books.

Amen to that. Several days ago I searched for Benson's latest on the DYMOCKS BOOKSTORES website and guess what....no record of it.

I have no idea and there's no way to find out. Looking at books in the libraries out here they're all the UK front covers, but.... that doesn't mean this one will be!! My further post will reveal more!

Well I managed to order it today. It's gonna cost $50 Australian. Hard cover, first edition! Now it's got an Australia distributor but I couldn't get details on where it was being printed. So cover wise I don't know! But it's got a June release date which could give it either a US or UK cover. US release is May 31st.

I've now decided I'm not too fussed on the covers. Compared to the Doubleshot and previous covers these ones just plain suck. Here's the US one:

I think I better start ordering it on Monday. I'll try and get the UK version which has a marginally better cover. Why has Hodder changed the James Bond logo; the new one is crap.

Which new James Bond logo?

I think in Australia it is the UK version. I enquired on the Collins web site, thought it's redistributed through Oz by an Australian company~!

Which new James Bond logo ?

On the UK cover the James Bond logo (in red I think) is different to the other Benson novels. They used to have "007" printed over one of the letters of "JAMES BOND".

The "007" was printed over the D of "Bond".

Yep. I've started collecting the large print editions because they usually have different cover art from the firsts. I'm having a heck of a hard time finding all the Gardners, so I'm buying the Bensons as they come out. So far only HTTK and DOUBLESHOT have been done in large print editions (as far as I know).
