And Fuqua is a US chap - does the Anglo/Commonwealth rule still apply?

As for the UK/Commonwealth rule on directors still applying, who would you put money on? Fuqua or Roger Michell?
Total and utter rot, I'm afraid, all of it.

This basically contradicts every other rumor we've heard as well as breaks the Commonwealth mantra.

There is absolutely no way that EON will call Bond 22 "Casino Royale 2". There is just no way, especially when there's plenty of great Fleming titles out there. I would much rather them create another one of those ridiculously generic titles like "Die Another Day" or "Tomorrow Never Dies" and use that rather than "Casino Royale 2".
If it was called Casino Royale 2 I'd lose the little faith I have left for the moment. Sure they wouldn't do that though. ....would they?
'Living On The Edge' is even more generic than the last few. I like 'Risico' more than that. LOTE doesn't capture the Bond spirit at all. They might just pass it off as a Bourne title, 'Bourne to live on the edge' lol.
I don't know if we should need to always employ the anglo-commonwealth rule. As long as the director knows Bond and what he's about, which is more than likely if they've been looked at

I've been known to not have much faith in what EON does at times, but even I can't imagine that they would slap such a generic and unclassy title as "Casino Royale 2" on Bond 22. I tend to believe the rumor that the next film at least has the working title of "Risico", althought that could just be because it's a rumor that I want to believe.
If they were to call the film "Casino Royale 2: Living on the Edge", I'm not sure what part of that would make me more upset. The "Casino Royale 2" part, or the "Living on the Edge" part, which was a decent enough tagline for the Dalton films (or whenever it was that they used it), but as a title to a film?
I think that the reason this whole things gets to me is that, with all of the great news that's been coming out in the past few days (a mystery Bond author, Bond 22 in Summer 2008, Craig is returning, etc.), there had to be some news that would come along and bring all of that back down to earth. Hopefully, this is not true.

JAMES BOND WILL BE BACK IN...

That's a much better title than "Casino Royale 2".

Considering it is taken from a Dalton tagline, my poster is highly influenced by the Dalton Era posters.
