Where did you get your copy of Colonel Sun?

Where are other places to buy a copy?

Is Colonel Sun in print where you live?

Having troubles finding Colonel Sun? Post here.

I got mine on E-bay. It is an original hardbound without the dust jacket. It is pretty small and cost me under $10. However, the shipping was from England to the US.

Brilliant, we are onto COLONEL SUN!

I got my copy (the 1970 British paperback) from Abebooks.com for a couple of pounds. That website (which is fantastic for any obscure novel you might be after) always seems to have a wide variety of copies available in the United Kingdom, United States and continental Europe. Moreover, it is completely safe and secure, something I was interested in being exceedingly paranoid about transactions over the internet.

I obtained my first copy when it was published in 1968, and have since picked up many of the other various foreign versions of it (but that search never seems to end!).

E-bay is usually the best location to secure a fairly inexpensive copy for reading, or one of the many firsts that they list (both U.S. and U.K.). Abe can be a bit pricy at time, but they are very reliable. Amazon also has copies of it.

Some of the shops in N.Y. still carry the Harper paperback (The Mysterious Bookshop, etc.), but the internet is quicker and cheaper.

I've never seen that cover before. Its rather... interesting? Is it relevant to the plot?

That's what the UK 1st hardback's cover looks like as well. From memory, it doesn't really relate all that much to the plot.

As a prior Fleming novel is referenced in it, it is best to read them all in order. COLONEL SUN would take place a year after THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN.

Finally was able to track down the Triad/Panther version, which ties in nicely with the Fleming ones.
