I think AC/DC's "Big Guns" would be an awesomesong for a Bond theme... maybe a little on the "hard" side, but it's a good song nonetheless.

A few months before TWINE came out I heard a song on the radio that I thought was the new Bond theme. It tunred out to be "saved the world today" by the Eurythmics. I thought it was fantastic and could just imagine it being used for a Roger Moore Bond.

Off the top of the head:

Hold me, Thrill me, Kiss me, Kill me

There are loads, probably. Interesting to see what folks come up with.

If 'Bond-ised' I reckon Linkin Parks In The End could be good. Might add a nice edge to the usual songs.

The best sooundtracks werte from the Moore films easily. All Time High, Spy Wh Loved Me, Live and Let Die. They all had something individual about them and a lot more feel to them than the more recent tunes. I think the meal at the poolside with All Timne High playin in background has a lot of feel to it. John Glenn mentions this in the commentary

DEFINITELY! It's the best non Bond Bond song ever! I reckon U2 wrote it for Bond when they were asked to write Goldeneye but weren't allowed to do use so wrote Goldeneye. Saved the world by the Eurythmics sounds like a great song to end a Bond film. Also David Arnold's "Randall & Hopkirk" theme (with lyrics) is great but HMTMKMKM is the BEST!

I agree with you Lonely Gunman, Glorious by Alexander Johnson was superb, very Bond like. I remember when it came out I was in Spain at the time and it felt really Bondish, and being it an exotic location made it even more special.

Hey, Parasyte, I thought that about Linkin Park's "In The End" too ! So much so that I can now picture the credits I'd use when I hear the music !

My friend suggested THRILLSEEKER by Divine Comedy, I quite like HUNTER by Dido ...

I've always wished that Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me would have been a Bond song.

Others that would have been good are:
Bon Jovi - One Wild Night (thumping)
Robbie Williams - Killing me Softly (although perhaps the words should be changed - the ending is brilliant!)

And, as much as I hate them...
Abba - Winner Takes It All (a great title as well, and very good, Moore style song)

Hey ; just remembered, I bought my Grandpa the MUMMY/MUMMY RETURNS dvd box set and there's a music video on the MUMMY RETURNS dvd from a group called 'Live' called FOREVER MAY NOT BE LONG ENOUGH ( FOR THIS LOVE ) ... even the video would be cool as a Bond credit sequence, removing the MUMMY RETURNS bits ... but wow, wot a song !

I've always felt that the Eurythmics or Lennox by herself should get to do a Bond song. The first time I heard, years ago, "Here Comes the Rain Again," it had a really Bondian feel to it.

I've always thought that "Unerwater Love" by 'Smoke City' would always be a good Bond song. Although more of a love song there have been a couple of them before (For Your Eyes Only, Nobody Does It Better). So may not agree with me, but wat the hell, we all have our opinions!

Maybe something by Dido wouldn't be half bad either.

I was listening to a friend's CD and heard a song ( by a group who's name I can't remember ) who I thought would be a great Bond tune ... ah, yes, it was on the Robbie Williams CD 'Millenium' - Karma Killer I think, hey, even the title sounds like a Bond title !

Why is it the best choices are always unavailable... imagine a Bondian Queen song. If they made a serious one it could have great... for me though Linkin Park could do a decent job. Even a re-working of Pushing Me Away would be ace from them.

Why has James Bond never done the tango in one of his movies?????

Well, there was Never Say Never Again where Connery's Bond did the tango with Kim Bassinger's Domino.

Purrrrrr......

Now, here I was having a perfectly good night...and you...you rotten tomcat...had to remind me of that movie!

NSNA does not count! I want to see...well...never mind what I want to see, but suffice to say I want the person who choreographed "The Thomas Crown Affair" hired for a Bond movie!

I would go with...

"Who Wants to Live Forever" by Queen
"Pilgrim" by Enya

Now...this isn't a theme, but...

Why has James Bond never done the tango in one of his movies?????

There are a lot of songs that I wish had been used for Bond movies, but I won't make a fool out of myself, by saying which songs.
