From what i recall, it was a much more organised affair, Pierce was very giving with his answers and he charmed the socks-off the press.

He had a huge beard though didn't he?
Yep..
..and he still looked more 'Bondian' than Craig!
Presumably having just come out of a prison in North Korea ... in a not very good film. Which is what EON are trying to avoid, again.
'Trying' being the operative word here! They're trying so much they dispose of their most valuable asset, hire an actor who polarizes the fan base and public opinion, bring back the same two writers responsible for the last 2 'not very good films' resulting in last minute re-writes from Haggis and bring in a director (read: lap dog) who's having a particularly uninspiring run of bad form - his latest masterpiss being the drab Zorro sequel. Yes...you're right, E*N are very trying indeed.

i can remember him in bondien suit. weaaing the omega and perched on bmw z3.
That would be the GoldenEye press conference, held after shooting had commenced. The BMW wasn't even shown then- there was a BMW crate with 'top secret' written on it as it hadn't been unveiled even then!

Naturally, Brozza had nothing to do with these films not being "very good"...

He was still filming Robinson Crusoe when the press conference happened.
Correct. That was the reason why he had a beard.
I remember the Dalton announcement more vividly, particularly because Maryam D'Abo and Jeroen Krabbe had already been cast and were at the press conference.

Correct.
Coincidentally enough, I am actually selling a presskit of this press conference on ebay here.
And along side that, I am selling two other different UK presskits for GoldenEye.
....if anyone is interested.
