I'm really confused. So I'd like to know what you guys interpret 'reinvention' to mean.
In particular I'm talking in terms of narrative, style and where the series could go post 'reinvention'.
please help.
..I think Haggis was referring to reinventing the character of Bond -- as opposed to trivialities of the series format such as gun barrels and main titles, etc. For starters, if they cast Craig, Bond can't possibly be the ladykiller pick up artist that women go wobbly over and can't say no to. Haggis aldues to being 28, no Q, no gadgets. Well we have already been down this road before in DN & OHMSS. So if that's all there is to it, I think one can breathe easily and live with it -- right? But somehow I suspect they have more in mind. The casting announcement should give us some sense of where they are headed.
