Didn't those title bits used to be explained on his official website?

For a bit of clearing up a lot of stuff why don't we try to retrieve the possible/working/rejected/alternative title list of the continuation novels from John Gardner and Raymond Benson as long as they're still alive.

Raymond Benson has mentioned his several times in past interviews I believe. As has John Gardner - example, Nobody Lives Forever was to be called You Only Die Once. (working title)

Then he can get on the Nobody Live For Ever/Forever thing.

Wasn't Diamonds Are Forever - Diamonds Are For Ever?

I was always 'forever' I believe. http://www.bondian.c...s/12768503.html

You may be wrong on that. I rememeber reading that it (and I may be wrong here) was either "For Ever" on Fleming's original manuscript or "For Ever" on the First Edition. This was changed in the paperback edition to FOREVER. It's detailed in the Bond Files so I'll have a look later.

It's a bit like From Russia With Love going from:

From Russia, With Love
to
From Russia With Love
to
From Russia with Love

Perhaps 'For Ever' on the manuscript, I'm fairly certain it's 'Forever' on the JC UK 1st.

Well done Righty. Two words it is.

The title graphic to Tomorrow Never Dies makes it look like it's one long word so [bf] is in a similar vein too.

Good point about the Tomorrow Never Dies title Brett - you're quite right. The only minor difference (naturally) is the caps.

Not that I think anyone wanted this topic revived, but I just noticed Amazon -- who originally listed this book as Blood Fever (two words) -- has now changed it to one, BloodFever.

LOL.

It's okay. To this day I still see GoldenEye sometimes written as Golden Eye.

I Love the compound word titles for some reason.
And in this care I think it looks better too... BloodFever :)

(Righty's going to give amazon a bit of whoop-:) once he sees this thread... lol)
