I was recently at my local bookstore, Borders, and was suprised that they only had 2 copies of SilverFin on the shelf! Either it has been selling well or Borders is disrespecting SilverFin. I believe the latter to be the case. How many copies of SilverFin are there at your local bookstore(s)?

None that I've seen. I haven't even seen any of the diplay cases up. I might have missed them though. I think part of the problem is that most people buy online these days as it's much easier and cheaper. I'll probably go into town later in the week so I'll have a look then and report back.

I'll make it my mission to recommend the shops that don't have it to order it in as it really does deserve to be read.

Three copies tucked away on the Teen shelf. In the US, SilverFin isn't getting anymore of an in-store push than did Benson or late Gardner. Shame. Maybe they'll do a bit more with the paperback.

I saw 3 at Hastings. I hope this sucker is a bust here so we can get back to the gratuitous sex and violence Bond should be about.

Well, according to IFP they've already sold 50,000 copies so it is far from a bust.

That is too bad, Zencat. I flipped through this POS at Hastings a while back, stuck it back on the shelf. Not selling here in Manhattan, but, hey, it must be selling someplace else.

Yeah I read that, but 50,000 worldwide or in the U.S.? Just doesn't seem that much to me worldwide, which is how I read it. :)

Saw around 4 or 5 copies in Angus and Robertson in the Adult section. And around 3 or 4 copies in QBD in the Young Adult section.

No big fanfare about them, though, as far as I could see.
