Perhaps we all miss the steady hand of Cubby. I do not think that Brosnan should return even though I appreciated his tenure. Casino Royale should be treated as something special.
"It definitely will not be Pierce Brosnan"

You're absolutely right. Casino Royale should be treated as something special, and EON should shell out the money to get top notch actors and actresses and crew to make this the best Bond movie of all time. This should include getting new writers who would just put what Fleming had into a well balanced script and not try to reimagine the entire storyline, like what Purvis, Wade, and Campbell seem intent on doing.

Well, it will be interesting to see if the performance of the FRWL game allows people to loosen up about the idea of period piece so they can completely capture Fleming's book. Becasue aside from that, some changes are going to have to be made. Are you talking about specific content or do mean the general tone and atmosphere of the novel?

Imagine Casino Royale with Owen or Jackman or Butler giving a performace at the top of thier game. Imagine a supporting cast of heavyweights A-lister talent (think Dinero in his prime level acting) Think of a director that has a proven track record of making great films (not merely good or competant) Doesn't Bond deserve pulling out all the stops talent-wise at least once in the series? What better film then the original story?
